The Elise shouldn't even be on your list, according to your own criteria (unless the European version has 250hp. Ours only has 190hp).

Is this going to be your only car? If so, I'd cut out the 2 seaters with limited luggage space (350Z, Elise). You're going to have to compromise somewhere. You can't have a car be good at everything, especially if you're trying to stay within a budget. You need to prioritize what's most important to you, and find the cars that do that best.

From the sound of the condition of your roads, I can't imagine ignoring the two cars that were MEANT for rough roads: STI and EVO.

Just so teh message finally gets through: -
RELIABILITY IS NOT A LOTUS STRENGTH

The Elise shouldn't even be on your list, according to your own criteria (unless the European version has 250hp. Ours only has 190hp).
But the weight of the Elise gives it an advantage.

For the greek mountain roads I'd go for the Evo or Scooby because of their traction and also you could learn 4 wheel drifting with them.

I was looking at an 87 Supra Turbo as a track car at one time, and even the members of Supraforums.com told me to get a set of tools! :dopey:
Lets see. The car is 18 years old and you wanted to use it on track. Track use puts incredible stress on the engine and components as it is. To do that to a car THAT old, you'd be begging for things to break :)

One word. Cosworth. I'll say it again. Cosworth. COSWORTH COSWORTH COSWORTH!!!
