I'm getting a car!

It's true! The Coryman is finally getting his first car.

What is it you ask? It's a 1985 Honda Prelude. Red. 5 speed manual. I'm excited. I mean hey, some of you may think they're ugly, but i think its ok lookin'. Either way, it's only a first car. :)

I don't have the car yet, but i should have it in a few days. Mom's just gotta get a cashiers check from the bank to pay it off and it's done. Can't believe i'm getting a car! The car is costing 600$ and an 85 Camaro that's been sitting in the garage for a looong time. The camaro has a blown motor and no tranny. The dude that's selling us the car wanted 900 for it, so we gave him the camaro and 600$. Hehe.

Funny thing is i don't even have a permit yet.. Oh well though!

The car itself is in pretty good shape on the exterior, the inside is a little torn up, but can be easily fixed. The motor itself is in good shape, but it has an oil leak somewhere. The dude that's selling the car is going to work on it before he gives it to us so that he can fix the oil leak and stuff.

Bwahha. Excitement.
 
Cool. My first car was (and still is) a 2001 Hyundai Tiburon that we got for a considerable discount, only $7000 or so.

My first car was crap. 1988 Accord. 1/4 of a million miles. The radiatior hose blew and I forgot about it.

I can't wait until i drive it for the first time.. I will admit, i AM going to drive it (if mom lets me), but not to a very far place. The farthest i would even consider going would probably be my girlfriends house which is like a 7 minute drive. 3 through my neighborhood, 2 down hollenbeck, and then 2 more through her neighborhood. Heheh. Cops dont drive down hollenbeck often, and theres not much room to speed around either.

Anyway, I have a few ideas of what i'm going to do to it eventually... If you'd like to hear them, here they are:

1. Fix the interior
2. Replace the speakers in the back
3. Lower it about 1.5-2"
and eventually
4. Get new rims + low profile tires.

Fun stuff..
 
It's a nice feeling once you've got your own car and license, as soon as I got both I took off and was gone for about 3 hours :lol:

My sister got a '93 Prelude so I got her Laser. Thats a 1987 Ford Laser people, top of the line automobile!
 
congratz on ur car man :)

my bros friend, got an FC3S for free because his dad fixed someones transmission.. and hes only 15 and got no drivers license.... im jealous >.<

My first was a 1977 Toyota Landcruiser. It went thru anything. I lifted it and did a whole bunch of stuff to it.

My first car won't be coming for another year. *never move to NJ;) * When i do though, it'll be a 2003 GMC Sonoma; currently down in SC w/ my grandfather.;) Anyway, congrats on your first car Acid!
 
Lucky bastards, you get cars handed down to you, and bought for you, while other's of us have to borrow our parents vehicles....not fair;)

Okay everyone.. Stop congratulating me.

I just got screwed. Due to the fact that my life is severly ****ty and i have the worst of luck, i'm no longer getting a car. So much for all my excitement..

Sorry everyone for taking your time for no reason... Sigh. :(
 
Long story. Lets just say someone went back on their word. Not my mom, not the guy thats selling the car, but someone who i hate and have always hated.

...and i actually thought he was going to be nice to me for once. Jeeze i'm gullible..
