Hey all,

Im going on a trip overseas to Hong Kong and Singapore, we (me and me mum) leave on Sat 21st and dont get back until Oct 4th.
Im excited and its gonna be really interesting but aside from that, Im getting my PS2 duty-free so thats the reason for half my excitment :D .
We borrowed a camera from a friend (my dad broke ours trying to fix it, know-all  )and we have 4 rolls of film. Were bound to use one so would you guys like me to scan some pics and post them when I get back?? I've got a decent scanner so they should come out okay.

Well Im going to an interesting place, not a boring place like australia. Every time I hear "Im going on a holiday" from somebody their always going to australia, nothing exotic or special or anything.

Well, I admit Australia can be boring, but it has its good points. How many internationally famous race tracks do you have in NZ? Who are the World Cricket Champions, after coming back from a massive amount of losses in 1999? Doyou have your own sport, like Aussie Rules?

Q: What do you call a paddock of sheep in New Zealand?

A: A brothel.

jazza lay off you wanker. hope ya have a good time mate and i look forward to some snap shots.

ill post up some photos of hong kong too. i had a brief stop over when i went to india.

I HATE YOU ALL!! I HAVENT HAD A FRIKKIN HOLIDAY YET AND I DONT THINK I WILL BE ABLE TO I HATE YOU SOOOOO MUCH AND I WANT TO KILL YOU AND SCATTER YOUR ENTRAILS AROUND A PUBLIC PLACE.

Anyway have a nice time ok :)

Have an ace time chap!

See if you can log on somewhere over there and give us an update.

As you're in HK you should be able to pick up a digi cam cheap might be worth a thought?

Anyway have a great time!

yes i second slips's advice on picking up cheap stuff. you can buy a vespa scooter for a few hundred aussie dollars!

Well I've got US$300 in travelers cheques and I thought about getting an MD (Mini-Disc) player but that might chew up all that money so I'll just have to keep an eye out for some cheapos somewhere.
DAMMIT! Now I've got that Pointers Sisters (right group?) song stuck in my head, ''I'm so excited''.:mad: :D:D:D:D:D:D

I'm so excited!
And I Just Can't Hide It!

Get us some pics of Skyline GT-Rs.
Thats my only request :)

Have a great time - I'm looking forward to the pictures. :)

Well Im back,
I've been back for about 3 hours now, no sorry I didnt get any pics of Skylines because:

a)they were going too fast (duh...)
b)I never had the camera whenever I saw one.

But I did see some nive alteezas and a kick ass 200 SX (ZX??) being fitted out with a stereo system not far from my hotel in singapore.

I got my Ps2 and Tekken 4 but not GT3 (:mad::mad: ), the duty free shop didnt have any, and the shops in Singapore never had any PAL version ones.
I got my MD player for about half as much as what It would've cost had I bought it here at home.
The flights were very kool, especially when you take off, OH THE POWER!!!
The wings on planes are designed to bend and flex so as to not put much stress on the frame of thje plane, I didnt know this and when I looked out the window during some heavy turbulance and saw the wing bending and the engine bouncin' all over the place I got a bit jittery and quickly shut my window.
Thankfully I only had crying babies on one of my 4 flights, but albeit, there were 5 crying babies on the flight, which, unforetunatly was an overnight one, and I got woken but a 14 month old kid giggling like crazy at his mum (It was annoying but sooooooo cute at the same time).

We took 4 rolls of film over there and bought another 3 and used them up, so technically we took over 200 photos (and thats just our camera, dont forget my sister who took about 5 rolls..) we havent got them developed yet, the only thing I could scan are some of the post cards we have..... that okay??

Well I must got now, I had well over 500 unread messages in my inbox (spam) and I really wanna get on my ps2 so Im afraid that GTP will have to take the back bench for a while.
I have many stories to tell but I dont think my wrists and fingers are up to it :):):):):):) :O

Welcome back! That was your first plane ride?

My first (real) flight overseas, I did go australia (dont even start Jazza) when I was 18 months old but that doesnt really count. I'll go see If I can find some postcards or something, my mum has a thing about getting postcards from where ever we go, and my sister has, just HAS to get a key-ring whereever we go.

Well, this is me at Victoria Peak. The photograhper was a really energetic chinese fulla and I thought he just liked taking pictures so I didnt pose properly, If I had known he was going to do it the way that he did (1 Zoomed in, 1 Zoomed out, 1 Photo in the middle of a plate all for HK$200) I would've smiled a bit better.

I've got no idea when we'll get our photos developed but the first thing I'll do is scan the ones I want and post them here.

Well we finally got our photos developed. I scanned to 16 photos, in sets on 2, so 8 scans all together, here they are:
I tried to make them as small (file size wise) as I could but the average size is about 80k.

Pics 1,2:

1. This is a kindygarten in Shenzhen, China, (we went up on a day trip) these are the boys doin their stuff. They do the 'HU!' and punches like they do in karate. The little kid infront, was pretty good flinging the stick around (the thing at his feet).

2. This is Hong Kong islands 'Central' district (thats what its called)waterfront.

3. Just tell me right now, that you just cant resist that face? aint that the cutest face you've seen??? This was when they come along and drag you from your seat to dance with them, you cant refuse them, not only because their to cute too resist, but it may also insult them.

4. Photo Shoot!!
These kids practicaly fight over you to get into the picture, and this little fulla in the foreground waited just until my sister pushed the button before he jumped in with a big RAA!!

5. Here we are barrelling down AIA's runway at close to 200mph in our Airbus Industrie A340-300. I must've taken about 15 photos (half a roll) of the wing.... I geuss I was a little excited?

6. Lift Off! The force of the plane rising pushed my head down, resulting in a picture of the bottom half of the window.

Left: These are the cable cars that take you from one side of ocean park to the other. A pretty freaky but enjoyable ride. It was a rainy day when we were there. 25+ degC rain is not a very pleasant feeling I must say.

Some cheeky bugger chucked a 10c coin at me and my sister from one of them as they passed over head.

Right: This is our hotel lobby in Singapore (these pics arent in any order) It pretty damn amazing looking up. Wouldnt that hotel be a JD's paradise?? Just think of how many people you could hit if you spat of the balcony of one of the higher floors?? We were on floor sixteen of 27.

11. This is an orang-utan that we had afternoon tea ( they called it high tea with the animals)with. I cant remember his name but I think he was 5 years old. Not blowing my own horn or anything, but inst this photo pretty good? Angle-wise and stuff?

12. OH MY GOD ITS JURASSIC PARK!!!! This is a lizard of some sort, cant remeber which one it is. It was in a big cage type thing, which had butterflies flying around (millions of them!!) and quite a few ground dwelling animals including this guy.
Both of these photos are taken at the Singapore Zoo.
