Today we went down to a small town in Australia called Beneraby (about 5-10 minutes away from where I live) for a Six-A-Side soccer carnival.

Well, in the end, we were playing for first and the score was 0-0 at full time so we had to go into penalty shootouts. The penalty shootouts ended in a draw so we had to go into sudden death (were we shoot and if we score, the other team has to score to remain in the game.) Well, we missed out first sudden death shot and so did the opposition. We got our second one,just and guess what...our goalkeeper saved their shot and we won!!! So I'm happy because that is the best we have ever done.

What a Six-A-Side soccer carnival is for those who don't know.

A Six-A-Side soccer carnival is where several schools compete in a soccer carnival where you play on a small field about half the length & width of a full field with only six players on at a time

i still prefer rugby over it, but yeah, soccer is alright

BTW, I don't play sweeper I hope you know, one of my friends does and man is he good. I play left forward

well, i usually play left, but i sometimes play right and if we play 3 forwards i usually play centre. if i'm not playing forward, i play centre mid and occasionally winger

I grew up in Wales, rugby is almost a religion out there so I’m ok with rugby, I even played for a local team after i left school. But to watch, yeah footy every time.

:lol:

Football = The beautiful game.

Sorry mate, i keep forgetting.

Anyway, excellent that you play both, i did wonder if everybody here wasn't a couch potatoe.

ed, soccer would have to be the most PATHETIC game I have ever seen. It's all like, "We got possession, let's go, maybe we can score a goal!" Then, "Oh, we lost possession, we better turn around and chase them!" Then you're like, "We got the ball again, maybe we can score goal this time!"

And it takes AGES to score a goal if both the sides are real good, or both the sides are ****.
