You all remember how sometimes if you nudge the AI off the track at certain races they get stuck against the wall, yeah? Has it ever happened to any of the cars your driving? Because thats what happened to me. I was merrily plodding along doing the F1 Championship race at Laguna, went into the pits for my final pit stop of the race, the 'Auto Drive' takes over, slams me into the wall at the tight corner on the entry to the pit lane, and gets me stuck! Arghhhh :mad: :mad: :mad:

I was stuck there for well over a minute, whcih meant it was the only the F1 race so far which I didn't win on the first attempt! :mad: I've only got the final race at Monaco left, but I was really ticked off at losing a race through no fault of my own. And there was nothing I could do either, the AI had control of my car!

So, has this happened to you, and did you find any way to free yourself up?

Not really, I was on the brakes for a bit before 'Auto drive' took over, as I knew the corner was tight from my previous stops. I think by the time the car was going round the corner on 'Auto drive' it was only doing about 50 kph.
 
I always slowed right down before i entered the Pit Stop on that race.
 
yeah you really need to be slow especialy when enetering that laguna seca pit, and if your tires are bright red you really need to crawl in to the pits, and no it never happened to me not for a whole minute anyway.
 
Yes, it has happened to me... thank goodness, it only held me for about 5 seconds though, so I still pulled off a win.

However, I don't think there's any way to dislodge yourself once it's happened.

Now, what I'm about to say is contradictory to what the others have said... it doesn't happen to me when I enter full speed, but it did happen to me when I braked a little bit for the pit, and it almost happened again when I also braked on another lap... hmmm...
 
You people are so violent. I've never detroyed any of my Playstation, or Playstation2 stuff.
 
Just lock up the wheels and chuck it sideways into pit the entrance wall at full speed and it lines you up perfectly for the pit lane

No, they still had some life left in them. I could have got away with doing another lap on them. It only happened once in that race, and in line with what youth_cycler said, it only seemed to happen when I braked?!? :thatsodd: :thatsodd:

Ah well, I guess thats racing!

Strange :weird:, I've gone in at full speed, braked going in and even spun going in and never once got stuck...

Probably just a one off... :tilt:

Yep, I raced Laguna again last night, and noticed that whenever I braked, I come within inches of being stuck... hmmm...

Oh well.
