Hey Guys, Iv'e been payin Gran Turismo mo about a month and finally got into the hang of it. After getting rid of my piece of crap Mazda Miata (I hate Mazdas), I bought myself a Mitsubishi Lancer (4 most races), a acura integra (for integra meet and FF), and a ford mustang (for stars and stripes and FR). I raced the beginner races fine, and on the amatuer circuit now.

My Lancer does great and decimates all competion until I race with sponsored race cars. Maybe becase they are intimidating...or maube cuz they cut out corner my understeering big bulky 4 door sedan. My Lancer runs 10's and I never had a problem with winning races.

My first instinct was to get a race car...but how? I raced the Amatuer Stars and Stripes with my Mustand to win the Spoon S2000 but it's to slow. I don't have a million credits to buy one either...

Thanks for the help

Try the Altezza and Mercedes-Benz races and the prize cars are awesome:) Welcome to :gtp:!

P.S.-If you hate Mazdas, stay away from Mazkid!!!

The Super Speedway Enduro was the first thing that broke me free my first time through. Once you are able to win it, you can acquire a relatively fast and useful car, no matter which one you win, the C5R, Tickford Ford, Renault Clio Race Car or the F090/S.

I'd concentrate on saving for a car to win that race. I think I used a Corvette Z06 to do it.

I used an R32 Skyline GT-R to open the game. It was my 3rd car. With tuning it'll do turbo, 4WD, Red Badge, etc right up to Pro level. It'll also do the Speedway Enduro.

There are many routes you can take. I would recommend taking a TVR Speed 6, mod it a lil', and head on over to gtvault.com for some settings. (Please don't put every single mod on it though... that's overkill). I used the Speed 6 for every race that it could be used in in Amateur mode, and I even did a little bit of Pro mode in it. :)

cant remember what i used to win the astra in the amatures.... but thats not what really got me going, it was saving the money for the ruf rgt and moding it... it flies :)

Use the Mustang or Lancer for the European cup in Amateur.
Use the "save trick" to get the Gillet Vertigo. It doesn't have a butt-load of horsepower. However, it weighs next to nothing. So a Stage 2 tune. And it will win a bunch of races for you.:D

Welcome to :gtp: HyPeRHaLo...

I've gotta say I disagree with you on the :mazda:, even guys on 100% in :gt: would say the Miata/MX-5 is a fine little car...

 I gotta a feeling MazKid will give you a warm welcome 💡

Advice: I'd concentrate on tuning your :mitsu: then complete all rallies :curvyrd:, get a :suzuki: Escudo and earn some real Cr :2cents: and a prize car on Super Speedway Endurance? :D

Hyper:

I also used a Lancer Evo for much of Beginner mode. I didn't run the Super Speedway with it but what I did do was the Seattle Enduro.

With the Evo on Super Slicks, I was able to win over the Viper by a healthy margin thanks to long pit intervals. This not only got me 100,000 credits but I won the Tommykaira ZZII, which is probably the easiest road car there is to drive really fast.

With the ZZII I creamed the Super Speedway Enduro, earning 100,000 more credits and the Clio racer (not a bad car but there are better prizes available in that race, as well).

Good luck and welcome to GTP!

i used the Trueno until i had 60,000+ credits (a while), bought and modified a Cobra R ( ), and conquered most of the beginner with it.
after that, i believe the process was -

- SVT R > CLK Touring Car > GT-ONE Road Car > all your troubles are over. (pending a stage 4 turbo kit)

I ran the trueno....to the Mustang SVT ... to the RGT ... to the SuperSpeedway Endurance race and won an F-1. From that point I quickly forgot about my $$$ and focused on the percentage complete

Until I got to the S license

trueno, SVT Cobra, R32, RX-7 FD, Astra, Vertigo, F1.......then i started collectiing cars.....^_^

o and someone in there, i got a lancer evo VI rally car and did the whole rally series in it (i don't like the prototype, it feels funnie, but so does the Evo VI and now i like my 206) and then i got the escudo AND THEN got my F1.....god i'm so bored rite now.....damn high skool, being a freshman sux

Welcome to :gtp: Hyper...
I can beat some of the sponsered cars with my lancer...I won the German Touring Car Championships with my Tommi Makinen Lancer...I love that car...I race all of my friends with it and they all use like vipers and the escudo but I always win...Hey ting itll get better once you get further on up in the school, Im a sophmore now and school is "great" thats why I stayed home today...
Have a nice stay here Hyper...

I did the same except with modded 97(?) Impreza.

Yeah, I think it's a proven fact that the Super Speedway Endurance is the most widely used Break-Out race of the game, regardless of which car you use to beat it.
