iMac + Win7 + sim racing ??

Hey Folks,
I've been getting the sim racing bug recently and I'm interested in trying out some of the PC options. Right now I have my PS3 connected to a 40" LCD TV and that works great for positioning my Obutto cockpit in front of the TV. I have a Core i7 iMac dual-booted with OSX & Win 7 which I would use for whatever PC sim I choose. My big question is can I use the displayport output to send the video to my TV from Win 7 on the iMac ?? I know where I can get the appropriate cables etc, I just need to know if Win 7 will be able to communicate with the displayport on my iMac. Has anyone here tried this ?

I can confirm that Win 7 x64 can pipe out video on Mini-DVI port and Mini display port to SVGA and HDMI without issue on a Mac Mini using Boot Camp.
