Image Based Lighting Technique

T10 is really pushing their IBL technique now being used in FM4, and I must say it does look spectacular. However I feel GT5's lighting system is amazing as well. Does anyone know if PD uses the IBL technique as well in order to make the cars look as if they are being lit by the same lighting used for the environment? Or do they have a secondary light source for the cars alone?

Look up GT5 shots or even that Ferrari 458 italia vid from pre release, looks better than them photo's!

Exactly. But the shine on the BMW on the second pic is something that doesn't really occur in-game other than Toscana.

LOL, i probably didn't pic the best shots for this, but when you see replays in GT5, you can see what I mean, or at least I hope you can. =)
