Image Issues

Hmmm... I'm in a slight dilemna here...

Because of my slow connection, I've chosen the option to have images and attachments shown as links, which works quite nicely. However, now that a lot of smilies need img tags to work, I'm seeing a lot of links in place of actual smilies...

I'm not complaining, since it's really not a big deal, but is there any elegant way to solve this little problem?
 
The only problem I've had is pictures that have been linked out of attachments that were attached in the previous version of GTP don't work, but the attachment themselves are still on the server. The url's of the attachments changed however, and that's what's causing all the erroreous images.

Hmmm, I'm sorry, but I'm afraid there isn't really anything that can be done. :(

That is whack but I also am wondering why don't attachments of GTP4 work did you delete them?

No, attachments were not deleted, but people referenced them in their posts using the old http://forums.gtplanet.net address, which is no longer in service, instead of the new https://www.gtplanet.net/forum address. If there is a missing attachment you want to see, you can simply change the forums.gtplanet.net in the URL to the image to gtplanet.net/forum/, and you'll see it.

On the GT3 car lists the iamges need to be relinked!
