Images Scaled? OP is a massive noob

I've just posted in the "Let's see those desktops" thread and it appears my image has been shrunk to fit some sort of limit. (Notice the width)



That image posted should be 1280px in width but as you can see I can view the whole width of the image within the 1280px window. Is there some limit to images I've never known about before. I've seen bigger images posted yesterday in the Sexy & Mean Car Pic Thread so I'm a little confused.

EDIT: Also the same effect is happening with the image above.

It looks to me that the image is 1280 x800.

I do have one thought, though. In Firefox, go to View --> Zoom --> Reset and see if that does anything.
 
It's displayed at 1280x800 for me. There's nothing that re-sizes images when they are posted on the forum, so I'm not quite sure what it is that you're seeing here.
 
Yeah it's alright now I followed TB's suggestion. Seems I must of hit the zoom out keyboard combo without realising.

This could be closed now.
