Hey, guys, can you help me out?

Recently, probably for the last 1 or 2 months now, Imageshack has been giving me an unusual problem.

Occationally, and more often now, I get thumbnails that don't load up at all even though the link is in the post. For example here in the first post, there is supposed to be a thumbnail, but there isn't:

I tried pasting the direct link into the browser, but all that loads up is a completely blank page. It's the same in FF and IE.

I got it at several times the other day when uploading pictures of my Goodwood pictures. The thumbnail wouldn't even appear in the preview, but would when I uploaded again - most of the time anyway...

Is this the same problem for everyone and Imageshack's fault or is it my end? Thanks!

I have to say that i have never come across this with ImageShack. Sounds annoying. I'm not overly surprised if they're having occasional problems though, it seems almost all images uploaded to the net are hosted on ImageShack. Could try looking for another host? I use PhotoBucket and have done for a couple of years, it's pretty good.

Yes, I should use another host. The other one I like is xs.to. The thing is though is it doesn't get rid of the problem because other people use Imageshack. Oh well, looks like it's something I'll have to get used to.

Do you have any adblocky firewally stuff that's blocking them in error?

Shouldn't think so. I have no adblock installed, and the Firewall we have, Zonealarm, hasn't been fiddled with since install. I've not installed anything else that might interfere.

Have you tried running a traceroute to imageshack? Is it just the images that don't load, or the whole site?

How do I do a traceroute?

And it's just the images, not the site. Although I do get a "Server was reset during upload" message sometimes, but that goes when I try again.

Open a command prompt by going Start > Run and typing "cmd"

Then type "tracert www.imageshack.us"

Right, I've done that. What am I supposed to be looking out for that's right/wrong? It's all IPs and names.
