One thing that I find strange is the volume of pictures that are posted on imageshack for such a free service. I mean, it is nearly mandatory for most competitions that you HAVE to use it!
My question is, does anyone know how they make their money? I see ads but surely a few ads aren't bringing in enough to cover the upkeep and space to hold thousands of pics uploaded daily. Plus, there are repeats - I know I've uploaded repeats in a hurry to post the picture instead of searching for the original link to it - I've stopped doing that, now.
I know that if you do pay, you unlock extra features and stuff, but come on how many people actually do that?
So how DO they keep that site up running as a free service?
