I've heard about how we were supposedly going to be able to import our Prologue cars into GT5 once launched, like you can from PSP. Is this somehow possible or another annoying rumor? (or maybe another thing to be implemented later..) Thanks in advance! :)

looks like you cant do it.
Plus I deleted my prologue game saves and data to make space for the gt5 install.

Thanks, yeah that's the reason I asked.. there's no point keeping Prologue, at all really. Oh well, I spose I'll save my game data in the hopes that it becomes possible @ some point. I mean really.. PSP imports but not Prologue? :grumpy:

Not an annoying rumor - it was advertised directly on the official website. Still there today...

Head Start on Gran Turismo 5 -- Get a jump on the competition. You can transfer your Gran Turismo 5 Prologue progress to Gran Turismo 5 when it releases.

So it doesn't work. Who cares. Move on nothing to see here.

All those people who believed the actual statements by the publisher and have spent the last year or so working hard at GT5P to earn cars they thought would carry over... that is who cares.

Oh, wasn't aware of that.. so if I pulled PSP cars off they'd only be for arcade? Pretty lame.

A lot of it is pretty lame. What was the point of me working towards the Ferrari F1 2007 if it didn't import to the real game?

Terrible design decisions were made. Unfortunately, if GT5 aims to cater to an international audience, it shouldn't have its decision making people all located in Japan and all ingrained in the East-Asian mentality of grind-gaming.

I could go so far with this topic but will keep my mouth shut so as to not hijack my own thread into lockdown.

General forum users would probably reply "Don't care? Don't post".

I bought my PS3 specifically for GT5 (MGS4 was a bonus, I guess), and I've enjoyed Prologue.

It's disappointing if I can't use the import-Prologue-cars-to-GT5 function in the way that was advertised, but I'd still have bought Prologue anyway I guess.

What's strange about this (and other bugs/omissions) is that it's the last thing I'd expect from a company whose series thus far has shown such insane attention to detail.
