In Endurance Race, should I updated patch?

Here's the situation. I'm 19 hours into the Nurb 24 hours with a slim 5 minute lead over my competitor and now the patch has come out. Currently, I'm only managing 3 laps on the hard tyres and with the new increased tyre wear, will this mean 2 stop runs? I do want to update it for the better racing sounds however I don't want the tyre wear to ruin my race.

So, any answers would be grateful. Thanks 👍.
 
I'm in the same boat you are. I was about 17 hours in and i updated. I'm using the 908 with the Audi R10 in 2nd place about 1 lap behind and the lead increasing with every lap. Before the update, I was getting about 3 laps on RS. Now I HAVE to pit EVERY lap even with RH. By the end of the lap, I was down to about 10-15% tire life. If you are scared of losing the lead by the end of the race, don't update. As for the rest of the update, sound is more realistic (there is more wind noise), the chase camera now shakes and appears to be laggy at times.
