In search of a better mouse

I currently use a Logitech M70S for my gaming pc and I use it for my Dell Laptop when I go on vacation. I like the functionality of it and the performance of it but when it's in use on the laptop it's very frustrating. I have a powered USB hub since plugins on the laptop are limited. The mouse will work fine as long as the dongle for it is plugged in to the laptop itself or plugged into the USB hub by itself. Nothing else can be plugged into the hub, no hard drives etc. Plug a hard drive in and the mouse movement becomes very erratic and the scroll wheel is deactivated.

I would like to get a mouse that didn't have these problems. One that works regardless of where it's plugged in.

Any suggestions?
 
As TB said, Bluetooth makes the problem go away and the direction I would go.

I would assume your actual problem is the hub itself or the usb port the hub is plugged into not understanding or capable of sharing and prioritizing the bandwidth available for more than one thing at a time.

If your laptop has Bluetooth, I'd go that route.

Laptop has Bluetooth but this particular mouse does not.

I thought that was the whole point in having a powered hub. I can plug two or three hard drives into it at the same time and it's fine. I've tried a non powered one and it does the same thing. But using this mouse on the gaming pc at home I have to plug it into a hub on the front side of the computer. If I plug the chip in back where it should go, it does the same erratic movements etc.
 
Should’ve bought a new hub not a new mouse. That’s a driver issue.
