I purchased a new Audi R8 4.2 Quattro today. Lightly modded it and jumped into an online race (which I won!)

The race was 1 lap on the Nordschlife. That lap is just a hair under 13 miles. Counting the little bit of the track that is auto driven while the timer counts down at the end of the race, the odometer should be just over 13 miles. That race was the only miles the car has driven. Back in my garage, the car is listed with 21.9 miles on it.

Anyone else have this happen to them?

Edit: just for giggles, I calculated what 21.9 KM would be in miles.... Yup... 13.6 miles. Does PD get their kilometers and miles mixed up often?

No, for some reason, no matter what unit of measure you use, PD only displays a cars distance in KM.

This.

Go to the UCD and you'll see the mileage only displayed in KM - so this would be the same constant unit for all the cars.

Here's another weird finding. I bought a new Honda S2000 last night and drove one of the seasonal races at Tokyo Route 246. A 3 lap race for a total of 9.54 miles. Give a few more tenths of a mile for the lead up to the green flag and the cool down portion and I figure to be just a hair under 10 miles.

I get back to my garage and my new S2000 had 9.9 miles on it. Not 15.9 Km (9.9 mi = 15.9 Km)

I'm confused now.

Maybe it works out the online km and calls it miles but offline it is accurate? That's the only explanation I can think of. Unless you drink a lot...
