Ever since the switch to GTP9, I have noticed that the ads seem to be of less quality, with a few that are on the edge of appropriateness, as shown in the pic below (taken as I was viewing Turbo Lag's thread in the PS2 forum):

I wasn't sure if that was the kind of thing GTP was trying to promote.

EDIT: And if that wasn't enough, that Ad came up again when I viewed the thread.

From,
Chris.

I've seen that ad several times. I was going to report it, but I figured that it's acceptable.

Well now it seems to be following me to every thread I visit, including this one, and considering that the ad takes you to a portal for Adult webcam sessions and intimate dating, I wouldn't say it was acceptable.

Edit: Also, it seems like the ads have gotten more low quality, and very cheap looking, some writer strike or something? :p

Chris.

, I saw that add and went to the site feedback, and saw that there was a thread complaining about it.

I agree it is a bit inappropriate, especially when there are parents around (not my case), but I don’t really mind it.

Hmm, well I haven't noticed anything

Thanks. Jordan takes this stuff seriously, and he'll get it off the rotation lists.

Hmmm... Maybe it's one of those 'targeted' ads that reads your internet history/cookies and displays relevent ads based on your past viewing habits.💡

I never clicked on it. :D

I saw it and clicked on it... it's a fun site. The girl in the ad even sent me a PM :D

Diego, do you have the URL it sent you to?

I'm pretty sure Jordan will need that. Or the long, convaluted URL the ad links to first.

I saw the "Date Me" advert before and snapped a pic, but for got to get the URL. :banghead:

I didn't save it... why would I?

In terms of AUP is doesnt break anything, distasteful to the site, maybe but some members avatars and even the girls which are posted in the weekly babe thing are far more scantly clad and just as suggestive...

But I do agree...

She WANTS you.:dopey:

But yeah. That is a little over the top. Even a two months ago, back when I wasn't premium, they weren't that bad. Are the smilie ones still everywhere?

Never knew how much I missed those ads until now ( Joey)

Crap, I think this will happen everywhere.... :guilty:

Need to run AdAware pronto!!!!

No, it's not spyware, spyware would bring up popups, like PS's problem was. this is a banner ad, and that should be linked to the advertising company, anyway, if Jordan asks me for the URL, I'd be happy to give it to him.

Why do people complain about girls in ads? Too bad she doesn't follow me frequently :(

Anyway, talking about inappropriate...

Mainly because of Parents. We have a number of younger members here and if a mom was to walk by and see one these ads they could get into serious trouble and not be allowed to come back to GTP.

I can attest to that. My folks don't even want me here to start.

These ads are at least less irritating than those computer games advertisements, but all the same, they may be disturbing and are still around.

I just saw an ad for "the religion test", and right now there is an banner for creating your own ad banner.
What the hell is wrong with people?

Sometimes I wonder if there could be anyone who would believe these. "Get paid to watch online videos!"

I mean, yeah, some people will, but wouldn't it be easier for the companies to make believable claims?

I bet mom's little innocent son have seen naked ladies before on the internet.
Parents should know better these days - Porn is just a few clicks away.

They shouldn't be worrying about an ad.

Anyway, I am a kid myself, and if my Mom/Dad thought I was using the PS3 to look at porn, it'd be gone in a heartbeat.

Also, since when did the Ads get so sucky?

Same here. Not even porn, but they might not know that they're ads, my parents are kind of arrogant in a way.

Probably, still doesn't mean they want them looking at it.

Perhaps mom & pop should really be telling their son a site like that is more than likely a scam & not a dirty website.

Plenty of these date sites are nothing beyond PG-13 these days.
