I did a search before creating this, and I'm surprised nothing has come up yet. The only realy hit was the thread on THE DARK KNIGHT, obviously because this is another Christopher Nolan film and his 'in-between' project, much like THE PRESTIGE.

Anyway, the teaser trailer has been online for a while now, and in typical Nolan fashion, it doesn't really tell us anything new other than the tagline - YOUR MIND IS THE SCENE OF THE CRIME - as well as a couple of shots of Leonardo DiCaprio looking confused, a fight that takes the laws of gravity as suggestions as opposed to universal absolutes, a spinning thing and a guy who is apparently trying to revolutionise the concept of drowning. From what I can piece together, the plot is something like this:

Technology has been created that allows a person to enter anoher's dreams. Leonardo DiCaprio is Cobb, a man who uses this technology to illegally skim for information, kind of like industrial espionage. He leads a small team that are currently entering the mind of an executive named Fishcer (Cillian Murphy, so expect lots of close-ups of his eyes) and plant ideas and suggestions to prompt him to make certain business decisions.

At the same time, Cobb is being blackmailed by Saiko (Ken Wantanbe, another BATMAN alumni), a member of an organised crime syndicate. Uncertain as to whether what Saiko is telling him actually happened, Cobb must use the dream technology to find out what really happened; to make matters worse, his wife Lisa (Marion Collitard) has used the technology herself, but died upon exiting a dream and Cobb must go on the run before the police find out about his activities.

And all of this is set to a background that is limited only by what the mind can create.
Yeah, I know: it's trendy to think Nolan is over-rated. But I think INCEPTION could be something good; after all, Nolan hasn't made a dud film. Hell, INSOMNIA has the only decent remake of a foreign-language film for years. That said, don't like the music in the trailer. It sounds like Hans Zimmer just reached into his drawer of unused samples from THE DARK KNIGHT and stuck them all together. Then again, the film is currently shooting, so Zimmer may not have actually scored anything yet.

If it had someone other than Leo it would sound more interesting, he was good in Catch Me If You Can. Other than that I haven't liked any of his movies.

In refreshing my memory of Nolan's films, I've seen everything from Memento to TDK and have liked them all. It stands to reason that Inception would follow suit. I hope.
