Incompatibility!!

Yesterday I tried to connect to my friends lounge and vice versa and we both got the same message "Not able to connect due to network incompatibility (706)".
I tried to find some info and finally found a hint to open my router and add the MAC-address of my PS3 as DMZ and that solved the issue.

This might have been posted earlier but I hope it will help someone with the same issue as I had.
 
DMZ opens up all ports in and out on your PS3 ... Now it is unlikely that a PS3 can actually be compromised but seen as though the PS3's security software has been compromised I have no idea what can be achieved through a PS3 with regards to some compromising your home network.

It is definately an option that I wouldn't recommend to anyone, but I suppose the chances of anything happening are minimal ... There are some very clever people out there though.
