Incorrect stats on some cars?

I don't know if this has been covered elsewhere, but I have noticed that the Audi S3 seems to have incorrect stats. It is supposed to have 261bhp, but seems to have 236 in the game.

The Megane RS also seems to have less bhp than it should (250). There may be others, but I just noticed these two.

Is it just me or are they wrong? Bit 'nitpicky' I know, just a thought I had.

That's nothing. You should try doing an engine swap on a RX-8. I did that yesterday, and the menu screen said 440 hp while in game showed something like 250. I felt so ripped off. The sound was magnificent though. :dopey:

Not at home to check myself, but is the game in BHP or normal HP. Brake Horse Power is normally higher as it does not account for power loss accross the drivetrain.

All the figure in this game are absolute rubbish, perfect example: why the hell does the SUMO POWER Nissan GTR only have a top speed of 175? It's the quickest car in a straight line in FIA GT1.

Yeah.. I noticed that one as well. Haven't found any other inconsistencies yet though.

Well, I did a little more checking earlier today, and I got some really weird figures. I did an engine swap on a RX-8, upgraded everything in the engine to max (no turbo) except for porting the engine, which I left at level 1. Now I was getting MORE hp in the game than in the menu screen, totally opposite from my Honda S2000, where i lose about 100hp in game from the menu screen. I proceeded with a bridge port (level two) on the RX-8, I was getting 550-ish in game hp while the menu screen said 450-ish! Did the level 3 upgrade (J-port), and then the in game readings went way down in the dumps, I think lower than even the level 1 upgrade. Definately much lower than the level 2 bridge port. I'm no mechanic or anything, but it seems a little strange. I'll do some test laps later and see if the in game readings are the correct ones. I suspect they are.

I must say I am relieved it's not just me!

Hasn't really bothered me much this time, but often it's the little niggles that bug you the most.
