Went to do Drift Trials at Tsukuba just now only to find out that the sectors they use are just the first 4 turns. The last turn is the best turn to Drift and it’s completely cut out of the trial :( reminiscing from GT5 when I was really big into the Drift Scene and now I’m just sad. Needed to vent! Carry on :banghead:

Without a score there is no way to compete and I like to compete. I remember GT5 had full lap Drift Trials as well so you could go to any course and run the entire circuit without sectors for one big score.
GT6 also had the full lap score thing but I always found the points system to be very off and stupid. Why reset my points to 0 if I pull off a reverse entry or even a 360° entry? :boggled:

I don’t find the points system off but it does suck that we can’t get flashy with the entries. I see why though, there would be no way to differentiate spining out and doing it with control in the eyes of the game. When going for the highest possible score, you wouldn’t be able to obtain it getting flashy anyways so it’s not a huge deal. The flashy tricks like wall taps and entries can be saved for lobbies and like you said before, time trial drift replays.

To be honest I see everybody complaining that it was narrow and I never played GT5 or 6 or any other game where it was featured.... but from what I've seen it looks around the same width as Brands?>

Not a fan of the track? Other than drifting, I don’t really care for it but I think it’s the best drifting track in any GT to date.

My most used drift track is Streets of Willow reverse.

Tsukuba was part of my time trial test program in GT6, I'm glad it's come back so I can get more comparative data from those days... would have liked Motegi for the same reason (and Motec data download too!!!)

I wish that comes in a future update as it's possible to give us 4 new layouts :dopey:

Tsukuba also had 3 possible tho :dunce:

Yeah, I'm not fussed about the bike layout version of Tsukuba we got in Tourist Trophy, but I guess the shortened version might have been fun for Karts.

Agreed. I'm not even a big drifter and I HATE Tsukuba for racing but I learned how to drift in GT6 by repeatedly attacking that last corner. No other corner has such a perfect entry speed, radius, width for adjustability and room on exit if you mess up. You could enter the corner gripping, hold steering steady and mash the gas and learn how to hold a slide that way. It's literally the most perfect corner for beginners, and it still looks amazing if you're an expert drifter to pull off loooooong slides. The GT6 sector mode starting just before the last corner and ending just after the hairpin is perfect. Dunno why they changed that.

It's a horrible, bland, characterless drizzle of tarmac.

The 9-hour endurance race on it in GT4 didn't help.

Nailed my thoughts exactly. GT5 Tsukuba is where I learned everything about Drifting.

I dream someday with Tokachi in GTS.

A PD could have included the Tokachi Speedway. It has 5,000km.

This circuit would please the drifters, and also the competitors of Gr. 3, Gr. 4, Gr. 1, too. Everyone would be graced, unlike Tsukuba, which looks like a racetrack for drifters, testers, and small e medium street cars.

But anyway. Better to have Tsukuba than to have nothing.
