I saw a thread that only featured the updated Road Course, from 2014, back when IMS was still in the game (GT6).
Kind of surprised no one has made a thread for this in the time since it left the series.

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) should need no introduction. It is the 3rd oldest permanent motor racing circuit in the world, and the 2nd oldest still in operation. It is also the highest-capacity sports venue in the world at over 250,000 permanent seats, and can exceed 400,000 in total attendance on race days.
IMS is primarily known for it's rectangular "Oval" layout, but also features an infield "Road Course" to diversify the type of racing that can be held.

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway has played host to 109 runnings of the Indy 500, considered one of the 3 motor races that make up the "Triple Crown" alongside the 24 Hours of Le Mans & Monaco Grand Prix.
Other notable races hosted at IMS include:
  • The Brickyard 400, one of NASCAR's own crown jewel events.
  • The Indy GP, a round of the IndyCar Series season taking place on the Road Course.
  • The Battle on the Bricks, a round of the IMSA Sportscar Championship.
  • The Indianapolis 8 Hour, a round of SRO's Intercontinental GT Challenge & GT World Challenge America.
  • Formerly the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix.
Since the last time IMS has been in the Gran Turismo franchise, the circuit has gone through many renovations, including a revised Road Course layout as seen in the images above.
The venue is currently under the ownership and management of Penske Entertainment Group, who also own the IndyCar Series itself.
