infamous_downloader -Problem

This has recently popped up on our desk top and has begun trying to access the internet, but has been successfully blocked by Norton PF 2003. NPF has classified it as high risk. We have tried deleting it, but it says: -

Cannot delete infamous_downloader-access is denied. Source file may be in use.

Is this a threat to my computer? if so can someone recommend how to delete it.

Have you tried running Ad-Aware or Spybot:S&D? It sounds like it's spyware. I'd say that if it is accessing the internet without your permission than it's definately spyware.

Find where it's located on your computer. Then make a shortcut on the desktop to the folder. Restart your computer and quickly open the folder and delete it before it starts up and says the source file is in use. That should work.

Thanks, I downloaded spybot, but I'm not sure it worked. I'll try the restart later.
