This is just to check if someone else has tested it and has the same conclusion as mine.

During an endurance race, let's say the 2nd is 5 hours behind you, there s 4h left in the race so you park waiting for it to end.

After the time limit, will the lap count of the opponents continue to increment or will it stop at the time limit?

A) you have to cross the line 4h59.9 after even if the race time limit has been reach 1h before that? (if we assume the ai has the same pace even if the race is over for them)

B) you can ce back even 3 days later and cross the line and still win the race?

I ve tested it and b seems the logical and implemented option, do anyone else got the same conclusion ?

After the time limit has passed, you have to pass the finish line to win.
You have to park before the line and wait till time passed and cross it.
If you just leave it, the 2nd car will pass you and win the race.

For the timed endurance races, the lap count for the AI opponents stops once the time limit is reached and the AI get classified.

Yes, if you had a one lap lead when the time limit was reached, you could come back to the race days later and still win the race. The AI would have continued to circulate the track, but their laps would not count.

I have tested this at the 4 hour Miata race, and s2k2k3 has seen the same thing at the 4 hour Nurburgring race.

👍

no ofcourse you win the race if you go over finishline after others -.-

thanks GTSail.

That seems logical. The car that has perform the greatest number of laps during the time limit win the race. But you have to cross the line to "complete" it.
I imagine that in the history of IRL endurance races, one car may have win while in the stand trying to repair something. :)

It was just to know If I have to put an alarm clock to wake me up during the night to finish the race or if I could just do it at the time I usually wake up ;)
