I hope knows what he'e getting into, buying a 17-year old Corolla that the previous owners felt was just another car. A fun car, but not a race car, by any means.

Milefile - ummm...what do you mean all that CRAP anyways???Well, either way..I have the same rights as you do,so why don't you get rid of that crap in your sig and just put absolutely nothing =P.Sorry dude, but you offended me,so I felt the reason to strike back -_-.

Pupik?I hope I know what I'm getting into?well,I do...I think the AE86 is a really fun car to drive. It looks good panda colored,it has a great body, and the horsepower on it is set good stocked ^_^.I just love the AE86,but hey...everybody has their own different likes.

Well, I'm told they're fun cars (I drove one around for half-a-day), but they do need lots of work. If you're handy and don't mind replacing lots of parts (not necessarily very expensive ones), then go right ahead.

Heck, I wouldn't mind one. They're still cheap down here and hav zero following in So. FL. The trouble is rust, and very few cars around here have rust unless they as old as the AE86.

You can't really get rid of anything other than cosmetic rust.

mine isn't gonna be that expensive as well, probably somewhere around $1500 from what I was told. And it doesn't have that many miles on it either,so I'm basically gonna be buying it in Mint Condition ^_^,lucky me =D.

well lucky you.....lets just say that my college education costs enought to buy a Dodge Viper......

don't buy an arcade machine dood. i dont know about them costing $10k i've seen second hand ones that go for half, but since the initial d ones have those card readers maybe they are more. arcade machines cost so much because people who buy them can make loads off them and they are also built to resist n00bs kicking them etc. i suggest u go to the arcades and spend as much money as you want playing it until you get ur ps2, cause im sure u wont play $10k's worth before you have had enough (and yes you will eventually have enough heh).

don't blow ur college fund away, cause when u are older you will dearly wish u had as much money as possible to buy the cars u want to get! :D i received a £1k student loan as soon as i started university and within weeks i had spent it all on a set of decks and a mixer. although they are good i rarely play them and i wish i hadn't spent that money.

:D

you guys, there such thing as the INITIAL D SPECIAL STAGE for Playstation 2, so why not just get that?
i have it right now, and been playing it.. it's an awesome game! at first, it's really hard to control, but after a little practice you'll get it..i strongly recommend getting it.. i actually like it more than any other racing game.. even more than gran turismo... that used to be my favorite racing game.... but since the idea of is different than any other racing game where you just race to first with normal driving skills... but this one is drifting, controlling and how to turn and to know the course well, plus reaction.

trust me, out of 10, its rated 10 by me.

YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO PLAY THE ARCADE VERY WELL SO YOU SHOULD STICK WITH PS2-INITIAL D STAGE. THIS WAY YOU DON'T LOSE ANYMORE MONEY. WE PLAY THE ARCADE BECAUSE IT IS A SKILL GAME UN LIKE THE PS2 VER. WHERE YOU ONLY PLAY YOUR FREINDS.THIS IS WHY EVERYONE WANTS THE ARCADE VER. NOT SOME STUPID A#@ PLAYSTATION 2.

Actually, i can play the arcade version also and fairly well. So I have no clue what you're talking about.

Secondly, you can race against the computer and your friends on the Playstation 2 version; pretty much like the arcade versions. i personally have 2 racing wheels that are functionable for the playstation 2, so it makes it feel really much like the arcade ones.

Following your "THIS WAY YOU DON'T LOSE ANYMORE MONEY." quote, what are you saying there? either way, if you're good or bad, you still lose money, so again i have no clue what you're talking about.

Thirdly, that was a suggestion! i suggested something that is pretty much the same thing, but cheaper. You didn't necessarily have to listen to it. It's a substitute for those who want the game badly, but do not want to spend over $10,000 to buy it.

In addition to that, have you even played the playstation 2 version? obviously not, becuase if you did, you wouldn't have posted such an idiotic message.

Finally, you might want to get glasses, because you clearly can't read. my name's SLK308 and not slk 300. and it's Initial D Special Stage, NOT what you said "PS2-INITIAL D STAGE."

EDIT: do you even have a ps2 actually? and how old are you? Because with that attitude of yours, you sound like a 3 year old. You have serious issues;why? You start off something, although you have nothing but bullplop to say.

(or 7500 for a single seater V. 1 game)
I had a soul Edge arcade machine, but that only lasted a short time. (locatable through www.namco.com)
Another issue with getting an arcade machine is that most require a heavy duty power source.
i would get it.. but the voltage it needs will zap away a lot of my electricity and skyrocket my bills.!
