Initial D is the best show I've seen involving drifting. There are alot of techniques one can learn from the show (the art of understeer is one of them). All 3DCG graphics, and the graphics get better as the show progresses.

cool! initia D is a great anime, have you read the manga?
 
I've seen the Manga, but I can't read Japanese. They are pretty cool comics, they should make more like them.;)

I have all the episodes of Initial D right now... I'm more curious about the manga because it has an Impreza and a Civic Racer
 
Initial D is indeed a great cartoon. Too addictive though, I ended up getting all the DVDs from Singapore (I come from England). Good waste of £58 though:D
 
The Impreza driver is Bunta and he totally smoked Takumi. Can't remember the name of the Civic driver, though. They are from the later stages from 'Project D' onwards. The newer cars that I know of are :

Subaru Impreza WRX STi Version 5
Toyota Altezza RS200
Mazda Eunos Roadster
Honda Civic Type-R
Honda Integra Type-R
 
I remember reading this book about the cars in Initial D... And you what surprised me? The specs of the AE86 is completely UNKNOWN... Because no one can tell what kind of settings Bunta applied to it...
 
lol no, it's basically the comic book version of an anime. Usually the manga comes out first, then if it gets big enuf, they'll make an anime series of it.

yeh..i come form hong kong, and im gonna try and get stage 4 + 5 on comic, when i go to hong kong this summer :)
 
yeah. the local book store around here only has Initial D mangas up to issue 6 (Takumi vs. the blue Sil-80). dammit, Bunta vs. Takumi??? where can i see this??

and is it true they're coming out with a 2nd Initial D movie? i've heard rumors and im dying to know
 
We've got about 16 more books or so to get to Bunta Vs. Takumi (that's my estimate)
