I have heard of the movie but I think it keeps on getting delayed. As for Keiichi; watch some best motoring, when he races he doesn't drift. The only car in that show that drifts purposefully, noticeably and is able to keep up in races is the R34.

drifting is slower than grip racing if both are done correcting. sorry man, I thought the same thing but I realized that grip is faster. BTW, I have an extreme love for drifting as well(look at my name) but I realized that grip is faster.

True, but I think he loses that race.... but I'm not sure, he won some and lost some. IMO the track was too short to really declare a winner. Either way it was pretty cool, and I hope they get a longer track to race on.

I was talking about the races on Tskuba(sp?).

And yes Drifting is faster on some surfaces, and with slight slip angles (depending of the car but I don’t really consider that drifting although it is), and cars with excessive understeer, but then car would probably be faster if it was set up better rather then drifting to compensate.

Where do i find the BMI vids? Japanese or English site? I watched one of the vids with the mini Initial D parody (AE86 w/ CF hood vs. Skyline i think). It was cool :D

Anyway, about the ID movie. The person who was supposed to be Takumi was Edison Chan and Andy Lau was supposed to be starring in it. Andy could actually pull off Bunta quite well, but it'd be weird to have him close his eyes all the time :\

I found out that drifting is better for hairpin turns on apricot hill. and yea.............drifting can be faster but it depends on where. I beat the comps Castrol supra while drifting with the s.s. trueno on the shorter night stage. (i forgot the name.)

You can't really compare racing against the comp they drive nowhere near the limit nor on the perfect line.

i got that special, its a r34, against 2 86's, one is track ready, and the other is a street beater, its a pretty bad ass race, i dont wanna ruin it for you though, so get the movie and watch it

theres actually a AE86 version of BMI, it focuses on jsut teh AE's, the 1st half is the drift king teaching some basics of drifitng in a AE and then its on to teh main event, 7 AE's goin @ it on tsukaba (bad spelling) each with a different tuning company and a few were even personal cars, but tsuchiya comes out with a TRD tuned Levin, he gets 2nd though, loses to a black AE owned by sum dude, none of them drift in teh race @ all, all grip and racing experience
