I havent seen initial D complete, altough I have it COMPLETE in my CPU, but as I absolutely hate drifting, I think Ill hate initial D and its crappy animation as well.

I have downloaded and watche all episodes of 1st stage, 2nd stage and I also have 3rd stage which is the movie and Extra stage (both parts). I like 1st stage becasue there are more races, 2nd stage becaus ethe animation get better and the "lonley racer" itsuki doesn't look so gay anymore....the movie (3rd stage) is really good. It starts off where 2nd stage left off and patches up some holes like what happens between takumi and Mogi as well as some new opponents including buntas rivals son. Also the fact that Ryousuke want to form an ultimate team and invites takumi to join......

extra stage deals with Impact blue and their sileighty against the emperor team and the 2nd part is just them snowboarding.....

I've seen 6 episodes, has some pretty funny bits in it and the music is just great. But i'm not really into anime any more. Although the bit where Takumi made that guy pass out made me crack up and then his friends reaction was even more hillarious. But still, the racing looks nice. But it's so unrealistic, how the hell can you drift throught the outside of a corner and be faster than someone who just normally apexes it? It's the typical Anime thing, where the hero has some outrageous ott technique. I have initial D Special stage on my PS2, unrealistic again, but a fun game. Especially because you get to make that guy pass out in one of the missions. So funny, I was cracking up.

anyone seen the manga i think number23 were tak races with the that special team made by RY

my eyes! 🤬🤬🤬 dont use those horrid names!
its tough to blame anyone (TOKYOPOP) for the changes.
originaly, the drifting sequences of shinego were not as elaborate as the anime shows. the (jp)manga demonstrates the ins and outs of drifting and how it was beneficial to tight courses. it was not entirely focused on it. i guess thats a huge difference in editors opinions.
its hard to talk about the later volumes without letting out the spoilers.
takumi does race many more cars: altezza, mx5, another civic, rx7(a chick), and the cappachino. the manga never ever gets boring and keeps alive everything you like about it.
recomended reading for anyone who drives.

I wondered who all those people were, I thought they made them up for the game.

No, only because I have no idea who or what an initial d is.:D

solid lifters initial d is about a 18 year old tofu boy that drifts for five years on his home course(mt akina )and his friends take him to a battle(aka a race )and his friend gets in a crash trying to do a drift and tak fills in for him

its a stupidly crappy anime about the foolishness of "drifting will make you beat everyone" with poor animation, poor character design and poor art. that is all. you dont wanna se it, believe me.

no actually, i disagree with you. it has fairly nice graphics considering it was made a while ago. and the plot of being "drifting" is faster, it has their argue points... although i know in real life, drifting, is slower.... only part i agree with you slightly.. is the characters... they could be improved.
also just because you don't like it, it doesn't mean we can't :P

i like it, especially when i first saw it. it's good in many ways. just that i want the new stages to come out! argh... so long since stage 3 came out... need stage 4 to cheer me up  like stage 3 personally; nicer graphics and nicer ideas.

well thats all your opinion and I don't see you making any anime cartoons so I think they do pretty well sepecially the computer graphics for that time. I haven seen any other anime thats car related or where cars have a large and central role....

give me one thats better than initial d thats about cars and I'll see.....

any of you like DBZ?

I remember watching Initial D for the first time a few years ago. Man, I got hooked. Animation-wise, yes, it could have been better, but I watched for the storyline and the CGI. 1st stage was still the best since it was a whole lot of story and races, not much of that Mogi drama (her subtitles got a little confusing in stage 3). Oh, and has anyone figured out why sometimes it says "TRUENO" and sometimes it says "TORENO" on the AE86?

haha, yah i noticed this too.
but i'm just guessing it could be any of the two reasons:
1.) copyright laws, probably didn't get them and just did it anyways, so can't show it all the time.
2.) it was done by different artists at the same time, and they might've mispelled it at different artist's arts.

i think it's number 2 most likely...cuz some japanese people aren't that good in english.
