ask me
I often find myself cruising home and I will spot a car available in the game and think.. man, I have got to make one like that. Example.. today I was pulling into my apt. complex and low and behold a beautiful Supra RZ was also pulling in. He happened to pass by my friends apt. where my friends red AE86 was parked and here was my 240sx hatch, an AE86 and a Supra all within feet of each other.
Anyone else got a similar story?

Nice
There are a few R8's , a few GTRs, an Aston Martin, A Lamborgini Gallardo, A few Vipers,, and a gaggle of other imports and classic USDM cars cruising around here on a regular basis.. It's a car enthusiasts dream on some days!

A couple of days ago I saw a white Audi R8 and a beautiful Ferrari California cruising the streets when I went to the beach. That same day I also saw a GT3 RS, a Gallardo Spyder, the stunning Maserati GranTurismo S, and a Bentley (not sure what model though, probably a Continental). Only in Miami :)

I have yet to see a Veyron in the flesh, but there are numerous YouTube videos that show them cruising around the same streets I saw the cars 👍

Awesome...so did either of you start up gt5 immediately after getting home ?

Definitely :p Seeing those cars reminded me how the game depicts accurate paintjobs on each and every model. No other game comes close to PD's detail in cars. Absolutely superb.

My trip on Sunday allowed me to look at the mentioned cars in a new light. Seeing them in real life just isn't the same as seeing them in-game. Truly awe-inspiring.

There has only been one time where I've been truly inspired by real life in GT5. It was when I was on holiday in Singapore. There was this white Civic Type R Sedan with dark grey wheels (not white like on GT5) that was always parked outside of my apartment. It stood out among the econo-boxes that were parked next to it. When I got home, I decided to replicate it in GT5 with the correct wheel colour.

Nice!..I saw a nice s2k with a hard top and a Type R style spoiler not to mention some sweet BBS wheels(the ones that are available for the EG civic but not the s2k!) today and I wanted so badly to recreate it but I couldn't in any way shape or form

Last year at a Car show, among the hundreds of boring classic cars stood out one thing. An All Black Camaro SS. Black with Black Stripes and Black Insert Torq Thursts, It was beautiful. So as soon as I got home, I replicated it in GT5 and I still have the car.
Being in NY, you don't see too many exotics/tuners.

:sly:This happened quite a while back but nonetheless memorable, one Sunday after work i was cruising at about 45mph when from out of nowhere came two lovely machines flying by...
(A replica or original couldn't tell) shelby cobra 427 and and a viper gts both red/white stripes.I doubt the guys driving them were as happy as i was seeing them fly by.👍:)

Exactly..car shows.. daily driving..It can come from anywhere.. After each year of Formula D that I attended I would tune a car.. Still have a yellow GTO that a certain Kiwi inspired!

I watched Top Gear and saw the Ford GT and immediately had to start up GT5 and but a new, stock, Ford GT :)

If I see a car in the game next to me at a light, or on the highway, I smile inside and think to myself "Yeah, I can take him."

AHAHAH Yes.. indeed... I know my car will take you in Trial Mountain!

It's even better when it's exotics. I've found myself next to Ferraris, Lambos, Bentleys, GT-Rs... and I can take them all.....

In my Freestar.

Bring it!

The other day I saw a Maserati GranCabrio S in Black and a black Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano waiting at the school crossing. It gave me goose bumps just hearing them accelerate away.

Not so long ago I followed a nice looking 1970s Mitsubishi Lancer - the same model as the rally one in GT5. It was white with black bonnet (hood) and boot (trunk) lid and had that distinctive firm springs and dampers bounce.

Couldn't really recreate it in the game but the rally car is close enough for me - love it.

i saw three Nissan GT-Rs driving together near my house a while ago, upon seeing that i had a huge desire to get home, wip of GT5 and hammer out some GT-R fun

Yesterday I saw a Lamborghini. I know it isn't such a rare occurrence in richer countries, and although it isn't the first I've seen, it's not exactly common to see them down here.

It was an ugly shade of green. Pistaccio green. Overall a good sight.

Offtopic here, but this post reminded me of this game intro, though the Viper is blue:

On topic, I usually scroll through Google Images and look for inspirational wheel colours from wheel manufacturers.
