Install GT5 to External HD?

Maybe you could use a USB connector line and try that way? But I doubt it, as the PS3 only installs game data through an internal HDD, unless it recognizes it as an "External HDD Found" and actually list it as an option through the XMB.

Try it - i don't think it will work. What's your purpose. It might be easier to just pop out the original HDD then install new & bigger one - tried & tested.

Wouldn't that format the internal HDD after you install GT5 game data on the external one?

It shows up in the XMB but GT5 automatically starts installation to the main HDD.

Is there any way to set it as the Main HDD? But I don't think that's even possible, as I think it needs to be inserted into the HDD bay.
