After planning this for a GTP weekly race, it appears that too many people can't/won't commit to the proposed time frame. In light of that, I'm going to break this out and run it as a separate challenge.

This Sunday (December 21st) at 2 pm EST (New York City) I'm going to host an "instant" race. This will be the first attempt, so it may encounter a few glitches. I don't think there will be that many but you never know.

In this thread, on December 20th, I'll announce a chat room location. On Sunday at 1:45 EST I'll log in there and announce the car, set-up and track/race. You'll then have exactly one hour to e-mail me a time (ao(at)deralta.net). I'll log the fastest time as soon as I get it, and then shortly there after, I'll log the other times.

This is open to all comers, be you fast or slow. It is simply a way to enjoy GT3 in a new way. Also to give an honest measure against fellow racers.

Bumping this back up to the top. I'll be announcing a webpage that has the car and the track on it. I figure anyone can log in with Der Alta and announce the set-up, but I'm the only one who can announce it on a locked web page from my own site.

the Chatroom is located here on gtplanet. Between 1:45 and 2:00pm EST log in to www.gtplanet.net and wait for the announcement at 2pm. I'll post a link to a web page that has it ready.

You've then got until 3pm to e-mail your time to me ao(at)deralta.net.

You've got until 3pm EST (New York City) to e-mail your fastest clean lap time to me. Yes, we're abiding by standard OLR Rules: 2 wheels on track at all times, (Rumble/Ripple Strips are part of the track), No walls, or short cuts.

We'll run this in Arcade - Free run, S class cars set on "Racing" (not Drift)

Interesting concept for a race. I'm a bit disappointed as it didn't turn out as well as I had hoped. I suppose the chat page hiccup add another unexpected degree of difficulty.

I'll call this my last attempt at this set-up. Just trying to get everybody on the same page was tough
