In the interest of catching a few more West Coast USA racers, I'm changing the time. The Instant Race will start at 3pm EST (Aka NEW York City time)

I'm hosting this one off Gran Turismo By Numbers. Here's the thread

If all goes well, we'll have three races. I've got the Car and Track picked for the first race. I've got the car picked for the second race, whilst the third place finisher gets their choice of track. The Third race I'll figure out tween now and tomorrow.

I should be able to make it. Hopefully I will not finish third (like last time) because I take a rather long time to pick a track!

Also suits the East Coast Jutland racers with kids fine. 👍 :D
 
I was supposed to be going to fellow forum member Suigi's house today, but I can probably convince him to come over to my place, and maybe we could do a driver change between races. I'm gonna try to not pass this one up, last weekend was a blast!

One interesting thing that MrP and Lotus350 hit upon was giving each participant a 1/2 hour. He raced for the first, she raced for the second. It also spawned a bit of competition tween the two.

So in essence, you could race not only the other participants, but Suigi as well. Get a bit of a side bet going.

Always make it interesting.

Actually, that might work out better, my right thumb begins to get a bit sore after a half hour.
 
Just a little suggestion, how about a rally for the third race? I just love rallys and I'm sure Mr.P wouldnt mind one either ;).
 
I second a rally race. Haven't done one of those in ages.

I would like to suggest no car tuning. Arcade/stock cars only please.

How's that work? They've got like 12 PS2s in the house.

I might need to borrow one of them. Mine's making funny clicking noises and sometimes doesn't load up GT3... :scared:

Well the first week we turned up we was unprepared and ended up sharing a PS2 at 30mins each. Last week I made sure I had a set up of my own and so got a full hour!
And this week will be just the same, a screen each and better results because of it, see you there if you want an ass kicking :sly: :p

Yeah mine is making those clicking noises too. Bad batch of Scottish PS2s perhaps?
 
My original PS2 did that for two weeks. It's been okay the last 4 days.

Hell, if it breaks, I can fix it... :D
