I need some help with my Acura Integra Type R
I put on a semi-racing flywheel + exhaust(the 1400 dollar exhaust)

what other mods should i go for?

hell yeah!!! integra...now thatz what im talkin' 'bout!!!!

i have an ACURA integra type-r...fully modded out!!! but i kinda regret it cuz the civic type-r is faster when fully modded and much cheaper!!!

Well, if I were you, I'd definately get some tires. That is the only part that normally makes contact with the road. Seems like you're pretty early in the game, so don't go with racing tires yet. Grab you some sports for around 6 grand. Suspension is your preference. With the semi-racing you can adjust ride height and stabilizer characteristics. With the full racing, everything can be changed. Grab some weight reductions and definately go ahead and put the ECU on there. Just remember not to put the full exhaust or aluminum flywheel on it until you get a good strong engine going. Losing back pressure can really kill you. I remember I bought the Audi TT and I foolishly put the racing intercooler on there with a stage I turbo kit. My pressure gauge would slowly decrease the longer I held the gas.

Definitely a turbo...after you hook up the tires, diff, and suspension. :D

with my integra, i did turbo first, and then weight reduction

then mix in the tranny stuff and the suspension....

How'd you go with the understeer, Rice Rocketeer? I put a stage 4 turbo on my Integra, and whenever that puppy's on boost it just understeers like a, er, thing that understeers a lot.

I tried the 0.5 degree toe out at the rear and that helped a bit, but it's still pretty bad.

dude man, i agree wit u 100%

the understeer is horrible, but somehow, i just got used to it! ;)

i made a stupid decision though going with the Integra...

the CiViC TYPE R is much better in every way!

stage 4?

last time i checked, the integra only does stage 2!!!!! :thatsodd:

Have you tried a higher rear ride height or stiffer springs in same area?
Having bound higher than rebound might help.

Shame about his Mrs and child he walked out on for her.

Still - he piloted my favourite F1 car of all time, the 1990 Tyrrell Ford (the first high and best looking of the high nose grand prix cars), and he's, well, insane. Ya gotta admire that.

I can see where you're going with the stiffer springs and bound - I take it you're thinking of preventing weight transfer to the rear, therefore maintaining weight on the front and preventing loss of grip on acceleration...cool.

Has me intrigued where you're going with the ride height thing. The car's already set like that, but just had me intrigued as to your reasoning.

Well, max boost then. Geez, I'm at work - I can't scuttle off and fire up the PS2 and check (although..., nah, I'd get caught).

i've heard that soft rear springs are good for countering oversteer, so i have it reversed, and lifting the rear should loosen up the back end, basically i'm trying to turn your understeerer into an oversteerer. Less front camber might help.

Nice for some - it is the middle of the day here though.

As I mentioned in other threads I just got the GT3 Logitech wheel and I am hanging out something chronic to get home and fire the PS2 up.

I'm also plotting to download the Logitech software for the wheel onto the upstairs PC... he he he...

Man, if you wanna see some beautiful women, go over to Thailand. I can't really use words to describe it.

hell yes....a turbo teg type r is a giant killer...but you do need to pay attention to the suspension...I beat an Impreza Rally Car Prototype on SSR5 wet :!: And I can out run many supercars on dry pavement. :D

Getting back on topic, I find that the two things that aided me most at the beginning of the game were tires and weight reductions. Then I worked on the power and transmission.

how is the understeer going? did my suggestions help?
