After playing TDU2 I hatched an idea for the Gran Turismo series.
What if a system similar to the video below was implemented into the next Gran Turismo game? We can buy garages and racing lobbies ( an interactive waiting room for online players can wait in, rather than the typical gt5 layout) and personalize them to our liking. In my opinion it adds a splash of personality and creativity to what players call 'boring' GT5.

I'd perfer programming effort spent on racing game, not some - avatar dolls house thing.

If the driving features and other associated components (livery editor, all premium, correct sounds etc), then yes, it would be fine, but it would make sense to get the core part correct first.

This idea isn't really up PD's alley. Although I'd love to see some good innovation from PD, your idea may just be a little too far "outside the box" :(.

I sadly think even asking for a free-roam may be a big ask for PD :(.

Can you at least give reasons why?

Cos it wouldn't be just a purely driving simulator they did this!!

But if you were able to customised your garage! Now that would be worth including

Haven't you seen how many complaints because of gt5 being 'just a purely driving simulator?' A lot. players moaning because of no livery editor, not enough content, etc.

A majority of complaints, to me, have been either physics, graphics, or connection issues.

I'd also like to point out the backlash from museum cards and horns. I'd rather have more Skylines, Miatas, etc.

All these things are fluff, I highly believe PD doesn't care about those aspects. People say customization is real and should be included but don't realize that's not the goal for the GT franchise. Their focus is on driving and solely that. I believe that's what sets GT apart from any game in the genre.

Not really since I have just recently joined this forum...the majority of those players moaning just want change! they are clearly not in this for the driving. I am perfectly fine with everything the way it is! it meets all my needs, simple choose a car, tune it, race it that's all :) and maybe to collect cars also...

True that!!

To those who complain it doesn't "fit-in" with the GT series:

Look at how much the GT series has advanced since GT1. Nothing too exciting or unique has popped up. The same forumla has been used for creating GT since the first iteration. While this forumla might've been good in the past, it is, arguably, outdated now. Now, this could be made up for if GT was truly the most realistic driving game ever, but it isn't. What you end up with then, is a 10 year old game, and nothing much else.
