Interest Check: Production Car-tuned short series

Just an idea I'm playing around with:

Take any production car that you can purchase, upgrade it to a cash limit to be determined later and run them on the same track. There may or may not be a class seperation (i.e. supercars in an "A" class", sports cars in a "B" class). The only thing you'll really have to buy in this (since it is GT4) is a car. If you don't save your game after buying parts, you can keep your money. However, I ask that you use the same parts each week with the same car for the duration of the series.

The series will run on various tracks and probably run only 3 to five races due to my own time constraints.

Fantastic! This is the sort of competition I've been hoping someone would start.

Tuning and keeping the same car over multiple tracks. Sounds great.

I ask that you <b>use the same parts each week with the same car</b> for the duration of the series.

I'm not saying this is a bad idea, but why keep the same parts? Why not just keep the cash limit and allow racers to tune their car between races.

1) Because it won't have very many races. You should be able to get a car with parts good enough for 3 to five races. 2)For verification purposes. It's easier for me to deal with one car setup per person then have to go through and make sure the parts will add up to the cash limit on every race for every person. 3)Challenge and strategy. When you get your parts you should plan ahead for a few different kinds of races. I'm not saying I'll do a course like Autumn Ring then follow it up with Super Speedway so your new close transmission will be totally useless, but there will be some fairly dynamic courses.
