Okay, here's my new proposal. There is a limit of 600 bhp, and no hybrids, or racing cars. Tuning is allowed. WE race on a different track with a 2 month time limit in which to complete this. Here are the tracks in order:

Laguna Seca 500 (225 laps) (About 4-5 hours to complete)

I will have to check the other tracks in run and settings and will edit in more tracks. Competitiors will have to submit their cars in the main thread which will be created if i get more than one other racer. If someone could get in contact with Bollocks999 or Mustang Man, it would be appreciated if you direct them to this thread because i'm sure they will find it a challenge.
 
Sounds like a good idea, ill be in for sure. Maybe you could make a series out of it. :lol:
 
If i get enough interest, it will become a series :D

If i have the time i'll do it for sure. :)
 
man i should make a semi-mild hybrid race. No one likes em' for some reason

So,.... 225 consecutive laps in free run? You know MK's can read comunlative free run total if their all ran back-to-back, right? :D :D :D I'd be in if the sharkport was required.
 
whoa, that is a tough one, 225 consecutive laps that are perfect would be painful, I see it now. . . lap 224 Final hairpin you get bumped spin the sand fora minuite. Start to scream, throw controller break it, kick PS2, break it, and GT3 in the PS2 shatters. . . ouch. . . It is a good idea, but I don't know about 225 consecutive laps.

I might be interested in this. but I am pretty sure GT3 won't allow 225 laps saved on 1 file.?.?.?
 
Miata,.... you dont have to worry about gettin "bumped" , there's no AI in free run.

AND, it will only save the fastest lap, but if you open that lap in MK's, it will tell you the total time spent in free run.
 
Maybe we could run two to three runs @ Laguna Seca 200 (i think thats what it is) and add the times together? maybe we could run em in 3 different cars aswell??

Ok that makes more sense to me. I am realatively new with MK's program, still learning it, but I really haven't had the time. This sounds like it could get very hairy. 225. . . dam that is a lot of perfect runs in one race.
 
If Sharkports were for sale in Australia and i had one, sharkports would be a requirement. A good way to prove you did it though is to take a photo of the tv when you are done.

I think it should just be done in one run, although you don't have to do it straight in one go, just when you have breaks leave your PS2 on. As long as when you finish under the "Lap" it says 225 you're fine. So, if you're interested, say so. :)
 
When my new forums open we could perhaps make that the home base for all these races and have a special forum for it? But we would still have to have topics here and at the GTF etc so people know about the races.
 
nobody has to worry about directing me here, found it all by myself

over 2 months i think i can handle that
...might pick somthing different from my trusty speed 6 this time round though
225 laps, 4-5 hours, sounds like a walk in the park compared to the 100 laps @ the 'string ;)
 
Heh yeh. MM, how long until your forums are up? It's good to see the old crowd are back in, this time I will definitely have the time for this series. If it's about 2 months before your forums are up, I'll have the main thread on Mustang Man's forums. :) Remember, this is only an interest check thread, and it looks like it's been a success. :)

Yes, you can use your Supra, see the first post in the thread for more information. The First Race starts tomorrow afternoon...;) (about 12 hours from this post)
 
Post your times in the new topic which DtV will make so it's easier to keep track of them. (in The Spot, not these ones)

You don't need to register so you can just post as a guest if you like. (but if you want to do the whole series it would probably be better to register)
