I will be posting some of the videos of what I experienced in today's races.

These videos are from the Semi-Final in room B. The three leagues in this semi-final were: WSGTC, MRC, and ICGTC.

This video is from my race perspective on lap 1 of the semi-final. The first, second and third bump come from ICGTC's Arkano6 -

Same incident from Arkano6's view -

The videos from the final of the 3D3 Interleague GT500 championship:

This is the first lap of the finals. ImmortalPilot represents team ICGTC. Tony and T/A represent team PURE. This is from T/A's camera angle -

From Tony's camera angle -

Fom Immortal's camera angle-

Another from Immortal's camera-

From my camera view-

Strange overlap of cars by me and Tony there(the grass still on his tires probably didn't help). But you can see the carnage that occurred on lap 1 following the wake of team ICGTC's ImmortalPilot.

Some videos of team ICGTC's Arkano6 from the finals.

The rest of these are all team ICGTC's Arkano6 taking shortcuts. These were all after I had an early lap crash, and was trying to catch up some positions. I was gaining on ICGTC's PersianPilot and only 2 seconds back. There were a few drivers only a few seconds ahead of Persian as well. Then I came across Arkano6.

This is from lap 16 -

Shortcut -this time giving me damage. Arkano6's perspective -

Same incident, my perspective -

The following are just more shortcuts by ICGTC's Arkano6

And believe it or not.. I saw him take shortcuts 3 other times as well. I can post them if anyone really cares, but I think you get the point from what is already here.

I was really looking forward to this event. I felt like I had a good setup(thanks Dom!) and I was running consistent laps in practice. My average lap was a low 2'12 with an occasional 2'11.

Unfortunately my day was ridden with another teams "interesting" driving. It started from the very first lap on the very first race. From there it never seemed to stop. Luckily I was able to suck it up in the semi-final and WSGTC was able to finish 2-3-4.

In the final it was just too much. I had an early crash, and from there I was just trying to climb my way back in. I was making a good run on those in front of me and I should have been able to catch ICGTC's PersianPilot's draft by lap 17. Unfortunately I got tangled up with the suspect driving of another one of ICGTC's members.

If I wasn't being banged on, slowed down by, or damaged by his driving.. He would be taking shortcuts to eliminate my chances of catching the draft. A frustrating day to say the least.

A great event organized by the 3D3 group. I thank WRP, Speedy, and all others involved in setting up this event. It had a lot of promise in my eyes. Unfortunately one team's members kept this event from being what it could have been.

I hope at some point we could hold a similar race amongst the GAMESTA, WSGTC, and PURE teams. It would be great to see how much fun it could be without the ICGTC's tactics.

I'm speechless.
I want to type, but I really don't even know what to say, no words seem to fit the acts.

Look at the bright side, you don't have to race those in particular again. :irked:

Wow. Pretty low driving right there.

Thanks guys for the comments. Yeah, it wasn't fun for me today.

I didn't want to rant on the main forum, but I had to let it out somewhere. No place more obscure than the GT5 videos section, right. :dopey:

Wow , some interesting driving there.
Seemed like a destruction derby.

Sorry , i had to  a bit

Next time put some penalties and heavy damage on ;)

Actually I am a fan of penalties on at Spa, even regulating to 2 wheels on track at Eau Rouge, strict as it may be.

This type of thing makes me glad when I don't have heavy damage on though, that's insufferable.

I would go so far as to say maybe ImmortalPilot thought he was clear, but he had to see the carnage he caused behind him, and certainly didn't check up in the slightest. Trying to give him the benefit of the doubt because of his relation to Tony, which I believe is his son if the rumors are true.
Not excusing it by any means though, just hoping there's somehow a variable that I'm missing watching the video of his incident.

The rest is flat-out inexcusable, regardless, there can be no possible statement to clear the acts seen in these videos.

Depends on the length of the race.
Light Damage is ok for longer races (5 laps +) but penalties should be always on "strong".

Generally speaking we all race with clean drivers that will not cut, so rather then worry about where the games penalty boundaries are, we set our own to the OLR standard boundaries and everyone follows the rules.

This was an embarrassment and total disrespect to everyone involved, not just the affected drivers but the organizers Tim and Marc, who put a lot of work into making this event run smoothly.👎

Hey Rees! I found the words. :D

I call shenanigans. That kind of driving, in the middle of an organized event? You've got to be kidding me.

BTW I found some of those videos on my YouTube home page lmao.

i see it in some other way.. from my view the hits on the straight from immortal .. i think he just misjudged the space between the 2 calsonic cars & wanted to get trough the 2 of the cars and hit them ( not that it really on Purpose! ) same after the right & left turn.. his view ( bumper view probably ) didnt see the calsonic going at the back of his tale when he was going to the outside .. its just how i think it went.

on arkano's part i cannot comment & i think ur right about the cutting part BUT.. i think it's also Very childish for you to come up and post video's about this while in the rules it clearly says race incidents should be reported in PM'S kinda weird how you didnt understand this part.. it was repeated several times also.!
anyway not going to make a argument about it but imo this is a low blow.. from you & arkano in the race nothing else to say.

I think Immortals pass was a legitimate pass attempt , just a nasty racing incident , he was drafting and had the speed . Im sure anyone else would of gone for the same pass.

Arkano should have yielded after his 2nd or 3rd shortcut . I dont think he was doing it on purpose he just missed the braking zones and had to use the run off area , if he tried to stay on track he could of possibly caused a more serious accident spinning himself out or hitting the other car much worse.

No penalties seem necessary.

I partially agree that these videos could be taken down. This was a vent on what ruined almost a 4 hour race day. Not to mention the practice that lead to today.

I am, however blown away that the 2 posts above me can defend the driving that occurred. On Immortal's part, I could care less what view he is using.. It is his responsibility to not cause incidents like that.

As far as justifying Arkano taking shortcuts 7+ times.. are you guys kidding. This leaves me with a complete lack of faith that certain members of series in gtplanet have ever read the gtplanet rules of online racing.

I will say that I am very glad to have been racing with PURE and WSGTC if this kind of racing is acceptable in other gtplanet leagues.

WRP, HYDRO, or any other mod feel free to close this thread.

redreevos i am in no way defending or saying arkanos driving was sportsman like but he didnt exactly finish on the podium.

the stewards were watching the race and didnt see any reason to inflict a penalty , if he did take someone out as result of using the run off area then ofcourse he would be wrong. as i said before he should have yielded the 2nd time he took the shortcut but he didnt.

immortal as i said before made a judgement call to go for the gap , i would of surely went for the gap and im sure many of us would have as well. that was a racing incident no doubt

I completely agree with skengD on immortal part. as i said i'm not choosing sides here,I dont want to say arkano did the right thing .. and i think that was not good to do But.. we have to see what he says about it..
and for your notice, we dont drive like this in ICGTC if you want to bash other leagues go ahead its your problem.

plus he has already apologized about what happened and you still post the video's thats really stupid IMO.. just keep it between yourselfs and the stewards .. stewards arent there for no other reason.

anyway its over ..

The stewards are still reviewing the situation, so I am not sure what you mean.

I am not league bashing. I am simply referring to what I experienced from the drivers that your league sent to represent them. You act like I doctored these videos. I presented multiple angles so people can make their own decisions. There is no hocus pocus here. Just multiple camera angles of the choices the ICGTC drivers made.

You can try all you want to make this my fault. But I simply showed what happened.

I am going to take down the videos in about 2 hours when my current league race is over. This is not at all because of your comments. This is because I believe Arkano6 is a good guy, and just made some bad decisions during the race.

This was never meant as a personal attack against Immortal or Arkano, just disgust with their on track choices. I do not believe Immortal wrecked the 2 guys on purpose, but he definitely could have kept it from happening. Which is a penalty by rule. As for Arkano, cutting is never acceptable under any situation in any league I have been in.

Like I said before, the admins are welcome to take this down.. But if they haven't by the time I finish my race. I am going to remove the videos from youtube, and therefore, they will not show here anymore.

Please speak for yourself. I, for one, wouldn't. And from observation - a lot of people who race regularly in leagues where OLR is respected do not try to ram through on the first lap.

3D3 marshals *are* reviewing the incidents.

It would have been better not to post these videos and just let the event review process work itself out. Bashing a series for a few incidents and opening it up for the general community to comment when they weren't even part of the event is in bad taste. We would appreciate it if you would delete the videos from youtube.

Reckless driving will be penalized. Even if it wasn't intentional, drivers have the option to back off the gas if they don't have room or are taking an unnecessary risk (on lap 1). Having a run doesn't give you the freedom to pull off a risky move, jeopardize other drivers and then have immunity if it doesn't turn out well. I'm not saying there was any bad intent, and the driver or series shouldn't be bashed in public, but bad racing judgement that impacts other drivers and the results should/will be penalized.

NOTE: None of the 3D3 marshals are moderators for this part of the forum (it's not under online racing) so none of us can close or delete this thread, but I'll make the request to another GTP moderator.
