The car i'm using is the Audi TT Coupe quattro '07 i have it fully tuned then i used the engine limiter to reduce it back to 345 bhp, i did all the other parts the intermediate very convincingly but i just cant do this one, any advice?

i used the lancia delta( new car dealership) tune it to meet the requirements......

the rev limiter kicks in at 160 mph but this happens only once or twice in the whole event

Well, it's either the car or the driving. On the driving, you will have to do it yourself. On the car side, I also had problems when I tried with an Evo X as it wouldn't for some reason produce the necessary top speed. For me the Impreza '05 tuned to the hp-limit did the trick.

It's definitely the hardest rally challenge though, I think.

C'mon man use a appropriate car! :P

Trust me, my buddy convinced me to race mod an Impreza and not even kidding, I have not had to use one other car off-road, it is THE best. And I win a lot of races too :D

And as a rule of thumb, keep your torque-differential near 50-50 (I go 45-55) and try putting brakes at 5/7 to get some kick into the turn. Also through this ALWAYS try to maintain traction and; the inside line is always faster!

I've also found that camber at 2/3 works best. It sounds weird but I read it somewhere and it works like a charm :)

That's good advice. What, is any, settings do you use for ABS and traction control?

I use 1 ABS but other than that I never use aids. If you're really struggling turn skid recovery force on. It mostly just takes practice. When I golded the Loeb challenges it took me a few hours because I had never driven rally with proper technique before, but now that I picked it up and play it primarily in GT5, my technique is near perfect and I can beat anything. In fact, I realized I never beat the advanced GT Rally, so I did a few weeks ago and blew by it with a gigantic gap. I think they make those challenges for tarmac drivers looking for XP, not rally drivers looking for a challenge :P

Also this sounds obvious but never NEVER hit walls. In rally you need ALL the speed you can get and that's literally killing your momentum. Not only that but nothings more frustrating than a 5 second penalty for crashing

I've golded the three rally special events (the snow sections are a joke) and I have golded the first two of the Loeb challange but still need some practice on the snow section. Despite all this, I don't feel at all comfortable driving on dirt and it always feels like I'm on the edge of losing control. Despite my gold medals I still find driving on dirt to be very challenging.

Pretty sure that's how it's supposed to feel :D If you ever watch WRC they look the same exact way because they're pushing it so hard, and since we push it hard the slidey and sideways nature of rally makes it seem out of control. When you do it long enough and you know your car (like I know my impreza, because that's all I use) you can easily predict how it will turn, how it will react to your turning X much, if it will drift if you do this or that etc. After that it's just about consistency and hitting your turning/braking points. And of course traffic:crazy:

i used an RM'd evo 9 when i first did this back at like xmas so you can do it all in that without any gear adjustments (except final of course) set traction control to 0 and just go for it :P

also am i the only one who'se found every rally event and the loeb challeneg really easy? apart from the stupid easy rally. now that is hard :P

I probably just need more practice. GT5 is my first racing game and I'm very new to this whole drifting phenomenon. Most of the time, I either take a corner too slow or too fast and all the skidding and sliding really makes me nervous.

Buy a subaru.

This.

Also don't go balls out drifting. Don't get me wrong, using the flick sometimes, and drifting helps, but if you do it too often you just end up losing traction (that's important, remember?) and thus go slower. But sometimes SOMETIMES it CAN make you have a better angle for a faster exit from the turn but it's better to learn without drifting then learn where and how to apply it. That is how I learned to rally in GT5 then I just naturally started drifting into turns when necessary.

Besides the rallies in GT5 are not even that hard you shouldn't really need advanced techniques :P

How much are you sliding in the car? Is it a lot? If so, stop it. Basically don't hammer on the accelerator.

That being said, both this and the road rally tend to have rubberband AI where you can be ahead a ton, and then they'll miraculously make up a ton of time no matter how you drive in the final stage. So basically you just have to drive that much better.

I had fun doing this in a Lotus Elise RM lol! :P
