International A - 15 min Race Apricot Hill

I have a problem completing the International A - 15 minute race: Apricot Hill. 650pp Limit. I am using an Mercedes SLS AMG Gt3 '11 wich has 645pp. But somehow i cannot get anywhere near the nr.1. He keeps ahead with 15 seconds everytime. Could any of you recommend me a better car to do this race, wich probably means the best car for around the 650pp mark? I am using an DS3, Skid recovery and stuff OFF, ABS 1, Traction Control 3.

Tommy Kiara ZZII kicks ass here. Be very smooth on the accellerator, pass early and they all fade away.

Chapparal 2J, it does only need gas (if needed at all for this race (cannot remember)) but you won't need new tyres and will blow the competition away.
But,I have to say, have not tried, but the Mercedes SLS GT3 should be able to do it... what's in the nr 1 position? which tyres are you using? And most important, what lap times are you setting?

Goes to show how f-ed up the AI is. I tried it again. Racing Hard tires, my good ol SLS. Nr1 position Mclaren F1 GTR Race Car 97. Untill the last 3 laps gap 22 seconds. Then all of a sudden gaps dropped like 8 seconds a lap. WTF. Consistant lap times of 1:20:00. This really gives a false sense of tension. :/. So i won it with him right behind me 0.2 sec.

In most race in last lap AI is going to slow down...first few lap i can't come near him and then as you say I'm sudden too fast for him...
