When I look at this site on AOL I get this message (Internet Explorer cannot open this Internet site "blah blah" Operation Aborted) in various topics and forums. It's not a problem with Firefox but I don't like having a lot of tabs open on Firefox and so I like to view this site on AOL.

Is this a problem on your end or IE?

The problem is on your end. As The Interceptor noted, AOL is where you will find your problem.

Are you running IE6 by any chance? I noticed this error today too on several sites - none of which were GTPlanet. I've never seen this error before today... :odd:

Nope I'm running IE7.

Alright I'll take you guys advice and lay it on AOL even though I've never had a problem viewing this site b4 on AOL. This didn't start to happen until the beginning of 08.

I have a similar problem too, especially when viewing the DYSAGT thread, it closes on me on Internet Explorer.

Tigre, I suggest you use AIM and Internet Explorer/Firefox, that's my ghetto version of AOL and stuff loads much quicker and much less errors (well IE always have errors with Imageshack and GTP for some reason here).

I've been having problems with ie here too. It keeps saying that it cannot open certain pages in the forum, even though the page is right in front of my face. It's contraditcing itself. "Does not compute"

The AOL software is essentially just a branded skin on top of Internet Explorer's web page rendering engine, so it could certainly be some faulty coding (probably some ad code's Javascript) that Internet Explorer doesn't like. Nevertheless, I spend a lot of my time to ensure that browsing the site is an error-free experience, and it's frustrating when others experience problems that I am unable to replicate. When you get the "Internet Explorer cannot open this Internet site 'blah blah' Operation Aborted" message, does refreshing the page solve the problem?

When you say "closes on you", you mean the entire browser simply closes? Does it crash or "hang"? Could you elaborate on the errors that you experience with ImageShack and GTPlanet? Screenshots of these "errors" would also be very helpful.

Once again, a screenshot would be very helpful here. As you acknowledged, your description of the problem is quite contradictory! :boggled:

Nope refreshing the page equals the same result. That error message just pops up again.

Here's the error message that popped up while trying to view this topic on AOL, lol.

It says (after the page opens a little) "Internet Explorer connot open Internet site www.gtplanet.net/whatever Operation Aborted."

I'll get a screeny up next time it does that.

EDIT: Tigre already posted what it shows, nvm.
