Hi all, I just moved house and got a new Internet connection and router. Set the router up and it worked fine for an hour, but then it disconnected. But the thing is, I still had Internet to the router.
Then after this, the Internet worked again, but I couldn't go on to any pages. I could do google searches, and use all the tabs at the top of the google page like YouTube etc but whenever I clicked on an actual page it comes up with 'page not found' or DNS error.
They are sending me a new router, but I wanted to check here that there isn't some setup issue with my pc, but it worked fine before.
All this is with a wired connection on a newish decent gaming pc. Thank you!

I can't realy help you.. Just call your internet company and ask for help, i think you can ask for someone to come to your house to check everything and set up it!

Try changing your DNS servers to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.8.4, Google's public DNS IPs, and see if that works. Last time I had a problem with having a connection but being unable to actually connect I switched over to those and everything worked again, I don't think I've switched back since actually.

I have been on the phone to the ISP, the thing is the connection never drops out. Must be something with the router and they are sending a new one anyway, just hope that that is it. I changed those DNS servers before too, and it didn't help. Just seems weird that I can do google searches and use most of YouTube, but actual pages don't work. Oh well thanks anyway for the replies, just thought I'd ask here anyway coz you guys always seem to know your stuff 👍 cheers
