Every time I'm on my laptop, and on Gtplanet, it eventually goes to a page that says, "Error Loading Page." I keep refreshing about 10, 20 or more times, then it finally works. But it then happens "again" not too much later. This only happens for GTplanet. Not my other tabs. What is the problem? Is it a bug/virus with GTplanet? This has been happening for 1 week so far. I need "True" technology professionals and the GTplanet staff for the help on this.

I don't see any indication of a problem on the server side, nor have I experienced this myself. When this occurs, are you unable to view any page on gtplanet.net, or is it limited only to the forums? You can also try use the ping command to ping the server and see if it responds if you can't get anything in your browser.

I just need to refresh it about 10-20 more times until a GTplanet page shows up again. It happens a lot.

Just had the same problem.
Could only visit a page every 10 or so refreshes.
At 1 point GTPlanet could not be accessed by both my laptop (tested in Firefox and IE) and my PS3.

Solved it (maybe temporarily) by restarting my router.
Maybe a DNS server returning a wrong IP address, I don't know.

Hmmm, interesting. Once again, I still don't see any indication of problems. Alba (who is also from Belgium) also reported connectivity issues via Twitter at approximately the same time, so there must have been a problem with an International data carrier.

I'm just glad it's not just me. I don't know why this is happening?
I don't think DustDriver's issue is related to yours. Could you share the ping results the next time this occurs?

I too am having difficulties getting on GTPlanet,by use of the PS3,as I asked here.
I also think this is unrelated. Once you're able to log in to your forum account, does the problem still occur?

I am getting a similar problem and it seems to be gtplanet related only. I often get a page that appears saying 'oops that link is broken' (google chrome). It also seems to run unusually slow in comparison to what speed it normally runs at.

[edit]I've decided to change browser (to firefox) and it has instantly fixed the problem, so it looks like an issue on my end. 👍

Yes.it still did it either way,

Tonight I reset my router and cable modem,it seems to be working again, for now.I still don't understand why it only occured while trying to get into GTPlanet ?

Starting last week my PS3 freezes when I access GTplanet. I've duplicated this five times just to make sure it wasn't my PS3. I also reset the router etc. Something with the advert scripting may be messing it up.

The site works fine from PC's.

Just an FYI.

Without more information, it is impossible to diagnose. There was no recorded server issues, nor anything unusual in the bandwidth graphs that would indicate any problems.

I just gave it a try, and had no problems using the PS3 browser (you guys are a bunch of masochists!) to access the site. Any problems are most likely due to Javascript, so try disabling that if it keeps crashing on you.

You shouldn't have any issues browsing the site with Chrome - it's loading things almost instantaneously for me here.

I'll give it a try again tonight and follow up.

Thanks Jordan. I'm not trying to be a pain, I just want to make sure my favorite GT site is in good working order.

I also have this problem. I still can't even get on through my Firefox, but a friend can, and I'm using a proxy now, so I imagine it's Firefox.

But it just says "GTP is taking too long to respond." I don't refresh 10 times, just maybe 3 or 4 and no signs of it working..

I just checked out your original IP address, and it looks like it was blocked by the server's firewall. I removed it so you shouldn't have to use the proxy server any more.

Hahha hell yes. And as I kept refreshing it actually worked, and thought I got a lucky break.

Thanks a lot. I'm not sure why my IP would be blocked all of a sudden? I'm sure this could potentially be a problem for a lot of other people?
