Hi guys, was wondering if anyone with extensive Internet knowlage could help. I have an ADSL conection which all of a sudden on Tuesday night it slowed to an incredible crawl. Now my connection isn't fast by any stretch but this was SSSLLLLOOOOWWWW! so we thought it maybe a small problem, but three days later and it's still the same, we can use the Internet and the router has checked out fine and my ISP state all fine too! I can load sites quick but try and watch video, view pictures or dowload updates for the mac and it slows way down. Any ideas? I'm stumped.

I'm assuming you went through all the typical resetting business - router, modem, etc.?

Other than that, have you checked with your ISP to see if they are bandwidth throttling video sites? Being it happened on Tuesday, it's possible it's a new policy at the beginning of the month. I'm guessing it's unlikely, though.

I've reset the router multiple times and I haven't even got close to my download cap, the ISP I'm with have no policy for throttling back speeds.

I'm just puzzled as to what it could be, the only thing can think of is BT (British Telecom) could be doing work on my local exchange.

Back unto full speed, I contacted my ISP via Internet form and they must have done something, they haven't contacted me or anything just the net goes from slow to full speed.
