Post your favorite free internet radio station here with a brief description of the format of the station. If I have enough time on my hands I might turn this into some sort of database but no guarentees.

WBER is a local station I listen to on the normal radio at home but I'm just out of it's range at college so I turn to their webcast. It's a public station so they play almost anything, jazz, heavymetal, folk, rap, pop, etc. Unfortunatly they throw new wave in ocasionally :crazy: .
 
I don't know about a link since part of the site features women (Non-nude, but you get the picture).

Anyways, my favorite is 93.3 The Bone.

Anyways, they play mostly classical rock like AC/DC, Rob Zombie, Motley Crue, Ozzy, and plenty more. At 10PM to 12AM is pretty much their Mandatory Metal, but don't be fooled. Its pretty much hard rock to metal music.
But is an awesome site.

Pretty good metal/rock station. I've discovered a few bands off it. It's not insanely heavy grindcore death metal stuff, so all you extreme metalheads probably won't enjoy it.

I just use winamp streaming music if I have a high speed connection. :indiff:

This link has loads of streaming radio stations and one of them must surely cater for your music tastes! Personally, I listen to funkyhotmix based in Paris and some funk/70's stations. There are also a couple of good jazz and classical stations and beatlesradio.com is just awesome. 👍
 
ChroniXradio and ETN.fm are my favorite.

I mostly look for indie, alternative and electronic music but I've taken a liking for Shibuya-kei.

www.frnds4vr.com was my favorite station. The stream suddenly went down last year but thankfully we managed to contact the owner and he's planning on reviving it soon.

In the meantime, http://tunein.com/radio/Radio-Eigekai-Indies-s97660/ will be my substitute.
 
For me, it's a mix between Digitally Imported, etn.fm and ah.fm which are all EDM. I also listen to some rock stations via their online streams. Of those, it's 101 WRIF, which plays a mix of classic and modern rock, rock 105 (WGFM), which is more modern rock, though it's labeled "Active Rock" and KLT The Rock Station (WKLT 97.5 and simulcast/sister WKLZ 98.9), which is mostly classic rock, with an occasional modern rock song in rotation. All of which are FM in Michigan.
