Hey everyone Looking to see what kind of Intrest There is for a DTM Series. The Series will run with 600 PP. Tires un-restricted most likely and all Driving AIDS off except for TCS and some people do like to run with it. Not sure on distance or race and full set of rules and regulations and or date and time.

I know there is a DTM Series going on right now thats running in UK Time zone. Post up if ur intrested. Will try to keep the Grid to around 10 cars. If we get more people then we will open it up to a full 16.

Anyway hope I can get a good turn out for this.. would be alot of fun to run.

I'm definitely interested in this. I've been looking for a series to join and this is exactly what I was looking for.

Good To hear. Glad to have u on... Any ideas for the series. Im open for suggestions

Got interest.

What do you guys think of having a minimum of 2 racers per car. so it would be like team mates more or less.. 2 m3's, two Audi TT and 2 A4's... hows that sound, good or bad.

I'd be down, US East Coast though, so it would need to be at a good time.

I like that idea, also implement like a team championship to award positive teamwork, and clean racing.

In the event this takes off, I want the M3.

I will be with u in the M3 then Audiman ;) lol.. still need a few more people tho. Im likeing the intrest so far tho

I like the team idea as well, it should be great fun. I'll use the A4 then.

Allright. Looks like this is sparking up more than I expected. We can and may half to run more than 2 people per car, depending on how many people we have to enter. maybe no more than 3 per car type we will see how it un-folds.

Cars

Mercedes-Benz CLK Touring Car '00
Opel Astra Touring Car (Opel Team Phoenix) '00
Abt Audi TT-R Touring Car '02
Audi A4 Touring Car '04
BMW M3 GTR Race Car 01
AMG Mercedes 190 E2.5 - 16 Evolution II Touring Car '92
Alfa Romeo 155 2.5 V6 TI '93
Opel Calibra Touring Car '94

How I will set this up is,
All Aids off except for Traction Control
Grid Start - With False Start
Fastest First
Grip Reduction - Real
Damage - Heavy/Light - Will vote on this
Tire wear and Fuel consumption - On
Penalities - Heavy
Performance Points - 600
Tires - Un-restricted

We will run each track at 150 kms....

Nurburgring GP/F - 30 Laps
Autodromo Nazionale Monza/Weather Change - 26 Laps
Tokyo R246 - 29 Laps
Suzuka Circut / Weather Change - 25 Laps
Fuji Speedway GT - 33 Laps
Grand Valley Speedway - 30 Laps
Mazda Raceyway Laguna Seca - 42 Laps
Circuit De La Sarthe 2009 / Weather Change / Change Time - 11 Laps

This Makes the Season 8 weeks long. If we have people post up saying "oh hey i cant make next race".. if over half the grid is gone we can always post-pone the race. Its just going to be a real easy going race.

I do need some help on a point system. Could do a point system for each player and each team.

Any ideas on Prizes?
If there is anything im missing please post up. Thanxs. Always good to hear advice and sugestions.

Looks good to me, I like the track selection and for the most part I like the set up. I'm just a little uneasy about setting penalties to heavy, I think light would be better. From my experience, penalties on heavy is a little too finicky at times. The tiniest little bump or clip of the grass can trigger penalties almost unfairly occasionally.

As for the damage settings, I vote for heavy. It does a better job of promoting clean racing (which I'm sure won't be a problem anyway) and adds a little bit more realism which is always nice in my opinion.

I agree with you strike. I will set Penalties to Low. I had it on High tonight in a DTM Room at GP/f and noticed what u were talking about.. Damage to Heavy.

In the past, leagues I have done have been most competitive using this points setup:

1-5: 20pts-2pts per position lower
6-16: 10pts-1pt per position lower

I really like the idea of the team championship, but theres no real good way to design a points system without knowing how many teams we actually have.

For prizes, we could all put up a helmet, suit, or paint and have the top three have their pick of the prizes. There has to be better ideas though, I just can't think of any...

Hmm the helmet thing gives me an idea. Put it as a entry fee. So everyone throws a helmet or suit in. Then if we got like 10 people raceing we can do 4 go to 1st, 3 to 2nd, and 3 to 3rd.

Okay that point set up works great. I'll update the post when I'm home from work tonight.

I'm guessing main cars running will be the M3, A4, TT-R, CLK, and the Opel. That's 2 people per team for a total of 10 people. If we can get more than 10 people to join then it will change

So right now we have a total of 4 racers. I messaged some friends tonight to see if they would like to join. Would really like to get this going. I'll Make a new post in the racing series for the sign up with a full load of rules, regulations, driver rooster/ cars. Point system and some pictures to make it fancy haha.
