When the game fires up and the blue Rockstar North logo appears, a bleepy 80's computer music blurb plays. I should know what game it's from but it's been bugging me for weeks! It's starting to keep me up at night. Please help. I know I'm gonna feel like an idiot when I hear it...

the song is called video killed the radio star it is also in one of the radio stations hope that helps

i don't think there is a game that use's that
 
I think that song is from a game called Gear garage 2 or some game where you did simple mods on a car and could race for pink slips. It was for PC and had just older muscle cars.

I cant really remember the name of the game, but I do remember it was a sequel like "blah blah blah 2"

You mean the C64 intro thingy when it says press play on tape (Ahhh back in the day when I had a commodore 64 yatta yatta yatta etc) anyway, its the opening bit of the GTA theme song. It was in the first GTA game (its a nifty sorta rap techno song) and it was also on one of the radio stations in GTA3.

Words (bad memory I have)

G grand theft auto.
you gotta steal a car and move where ya want to.
Speed theft detirmination, to steal what ya can and run from the nation.
Hey hey whadaya say its automotive theft its speed on the freeway.
Take it to the edge theres nowhere to hide, lets call up the boys let go for a joyride.

Something like that.
 
Never even heard of Street Rod 2, so that ain't it. It's when the R* logo in the blue rectangle comes up over the flashing multicolor background. It's old-skool, NES or Atari 2600 or something... any hardcores recognize? Tom M? Anyone?

Thanks Tom, I think that's it. I haven't heard the pager in GTA3 for a while, don't know why I thought old-skool games. No big surprise though, I can recall every Transformers episode I watched 15 years ago but I don't remember what I had for breakfast yesterday... :knockout:
