hello - been playing GT since first version so im the "old cranky guy ...get out of my kitty litter sandbox" digress - typical porsche guy who thinks the perfect car is a 911 and will be put to rest next to his ducati desmo ... blah blah blah... in that ...gt7 garage is porsche filled and wish to thank all the artists who put in time for both "unlocked" full kit paints and those who have made decals for us "lacking skills" yet the markings and details matter. - so thank you 👍

playing in a cockpit (seat wheel pedals frame type) and with a PSVR2 ... have used the search tool with other issues for both what im about to ask as well as the exposure and gamma correction settings and helped but wish there was better options for correction in the hazing ...but a guy can hope ... "is there a way to lockdown the seating height appearance between cars ...some cars the view is as it should be and upom changing cars it appears that im looking forward yet line of site is where the roof and windscreen meet and steering wheel is lower and not in full view ... to correct i have to "pause and reset head location (external camera circle button back)

sitting/fixed location/play area* ?? eye tracing blue rings works ... yet 2nd aspect in that had a yellow triangle .... is that normal or part of my problem ???

good to be here ...back here .... long long story (account deleted last year lack of log in and part of a "gt planet issue" - point being ...this place has alwsys been great with info and help and a good read when needed and with that ... thanks in advance for any guidance

I have the same issue with head position, sometimes I have no neck, some times I am a giraffe... pretty annoying, especially racing online where I don't have much time to re-adjust.

Yep, and some cars I have to lean forward slightly until the VR kicks in pre race so I can get in my natural position and not be right up against the steering wheel.

that's what I do too, but if not done correctly I end up in a not so good position. The fact that I play crouched on my couch does not help 😅

The only way I have found is to have my controller handy and if I need to be higher "I, myself" have to be lower when pressing the option button on the controller, and if I need to be lower also with the PSVR2 on I have to sit up higher momentarily while I press the option button on the controller. Does that make sense to you? It's probably able to do on my Logitech G pro wheel, but haven't figured that out yet. Also when the promo screen asks if I will be sitting or standing, and I say that I will be sitting, the next question is how much area space you need and I ALWAYS lean forward. ;) hope that helps wish it was easier. Many cars that have the rpm to shift with lights I can't see because of ride height so I go off of engine sound and have a good headphone Astro A50.

post originated by me Wanted to say thank you for the responses - after reading your responses - at the pre race screen, going on the suggestions by you and the responses ... I went to a target store and spent about 20 bucks by the end buying 4 different throw pillows each being a different thickness and inserting one behind my back trying to creating a consistant "lean forward" until I found a correct for the handfull of vehicles - during research I found the one of the depth pillows that works consistent and then I returned the other 3 pillows making my orginal investment.of 4 pillows $-100.00 -return of the 3 -80.00 in kept the one for above purpose im 20.00 out of pocket - also in my extensive attempt to get this aspect correct ... orginal sitting position in relation to dash and in real life pedals is something to consider - when we as people get in cars the seats move at minimum back and forth and able to tilt to wheel all the way up to 18 direction seats moving pedals type options to find a perfect sitting position

my blah blah brings me to the point for those of us who when able to put on the VR and get behind the wheel-we stay awhile and the pillow helps with keeping things consistent-

and there is this to the developers (maybe someone can get this idea to them)....considering we are getting to the point of VR reality ... how about while in VR scapes or GT auto like brake color caliper or in parts "power seat and steering wheel adjustment (for vintage cars) in gt8 ...where we can adjust and save sitting and steering height and then X button per each car we sit in** so no matter the sitting angle we happen to be in the software provides a screen/vr view we "built" using the controller ***

hope the pillow option helps and please feel free to call me "wile e coyote super genius" or feel free to call me "jack ass" in that " happy gilmore" voice if ya don't like either concept ... as i am just spitballing options

Both of your ideas have been discussed and suggested in the main VR2 thread, 🧵
I know it would be difficult to dig it back up, even with the search function

But in the end, we all agree on the short comings of the system. It is not perfect, but damn it is close to it

We are just missing a few adjustments and options to do so... In hope that PD will allowed us to have those abilities to make our virtual positioning perfect.

Untill then, we all will have to continue unfortunately with that quick reflect before the races starts:

1) Start with The way you seat physically in real life, including your natural head level
2) right before the count down, adjust your head to compensate for how it would set in the digital world, the default virtual head position and height that we don't like,
3) then once set in the digital, then relax yourself back to your physical natural position IRL, and both positions in the virtual digital world should "sync" up and align correctly...

Happy VR'ing !
