Invalid email address

So I was just browsing the forums, and I went to reply to a thread. It sent me to the All Forums and then this message popped up "Your account must be activated with a valid email address before you can post messages."

I've read the FAQs and I know that there must be a problem with the email assigned to this account. However, I didn't know I was using that email adress for my GTP Account because I lost access to that email years a go. Slightly strange. Anyway, I clicked "re-activate your account with a new address" and it sent me to Change Email & Password in settings. But when I typed in my current password and hit save changes, there was no option for me to change my Email (to my current email address that I have access to). I tried again but no luck.

I've tried also to re-send the activation email but obviously I can only type in the email address that I currently have access to and it comes up with something along the lines of "the email address is not associated with your account". I know which email address is associated with my account, but like I said I lost access to that years a go.

I'm not really sure what to do from here. :sick:
 
Sorry about that, a software bug was hiding the email address form. Take another look at the page and it should be there for you.
 
I had a similar problem, except for me I couldn't make any posts, send or recieve PM's, nor could I leave any visitor messages on others profiles. Also, everytime I filled in the email varification form, I recieved no emails at all, must of done it a dozen times too, nothing. It's kind of hard to contact the staff when that happens, a mate had to do it for me, so thanks Darren, & thanks to Jordan for manually fixing it.

If you're not receiving any emails from the verification form, that means your email provider is still blocking messages from GTPlanet. As mentioned in the FAQ, you can contact them about removing the block, or activate your account with another address.

No problem. Also take note you can still post here in The Help Desk forum even if your account isn't activated, just for cases such as this. :)
