Hello, experts of sim racing. I have a quick little question for all of the people that know best. See, I've been saving my money for quite a while to be able to afford a Fanatec GT3RS wheel. This will be my first racing wheel, but I've got one last question before I finally buy what I've been waiting for so long: Is the ability to invert my pedals worth another fifty dollars?

Most people already know what they prefer before buying a wheel, but me, I have no idea. So, since most people in this section of the forums know what they prefer, I'd like to know what others here like, and here suggestions. Keep in mind that I don't have many chances to make money, so if I do come to the decision that I'd like inverted pedals, it would take a bit of time to get the money for them.

The last thing I want to say is, I did do multiple searches, so I'm pretty sure that there isn't a thread that could help me make my decision already.

It depends if you play any games with "Formula" style cars. If you do then I wouldn't recommend it as you'll be losing realism in that respect. However, if you only play games where you're driving actual road or race cars, then by all means do it.

I'm really nonplussed by the whole inverted pedals thing, with the pedals the normal way round they feel exactly the same as my car's pedals. Then again I drive a Corsa which is hardly a paragon of sportiness.

I inverted mine so that they don't move around. Also they stay with the wheel setup I made that can be moved very easy. Pictures in my profile ( I've made some changes since last pictures) .

Most racing cars have "on the floor" style pedals nowadays. 👍

Just buy the pedals to start. In a few months you will know more about what you want from your sim rig. Believe me when I say you will change your mind 10x before you decide what you finally want, then youll change everything again lol. Have fun and good luck.

I have the CSR pedals with the clutch and brake inverted and spaced just like in my GTI. Then again, I'm more of a sunday driver than F1 racer.
