KJackobs, I recommend going into the Supercar Showroom, and into the pit area, and making some car setup changes. There are a couple of things you can do to improve the raw pace of the car.
Camber: Most people use maximum negative camber, front & rear. It's more of a challenge for wheel users with this, as it makes the car a bit more unstable, especially under braking. But I recommend trying out maximum negative, and if it's too hard to control, reduce to around -2.5 front, and maybe -2 on the rear (more positive on the rear may help reduce oversteer).
Roll bars: I find in most cars that hard front & rear roll bars improve cornering speed, without causing too much sliding or traction problems.
Springs & Dampers: Best to stay soft.
Ride height: There are varying views on this. I believe almost all cars should be minimum front and maximum rear ride height (with the exception of the Enzo, DBR9, 599XX, FXX and a couple of others), and I believe it still helps straight line speed (before the latest patch, users could use even more extreme ride values to really boost straight line speed. It was an implementation error).
From previous experience, the difference in my laptimes between default setup and a good setup can be around 2 to 3 seconds (for Mugello with 430C, I'd say my laps are around 2.5 seconds slower using the default setup).
